It happens...but why?
You're in a comfortable setting, surrounded by a medium sized group, and you're able to simply be yourself and not have a single worry in the world. Then there are always 1 or 2 people, who show up, and you lose your coolness and basically climb into a shell. What is that all about?
Sometimes these people don't even have to say a word, just their presence magically transforms your behavior. In my case, some of these people I really don't like, and some have been nothing but nice to me. I haven't been able to figure this out. Do you ever notice that people around you have an influence on your behavior, no matter how hard you try not to let it reach that level? |

Yeah, happens alot to me. I really think it depends on who just joined the group. That person that just joined you may be someone of importance like your boss or your family member. Your friends are a group of people that you can really relax around and be yourself but once you add a drop of boss, family or really close friend, it adds to the awkwardness.
People that are my enemies or dislike in someway just kinda makes me shut up and try to get away from them.

Yep, this also happens to me. I find its always either people I don't like or people who I am not comfortable around (meaning I don't know them very well).
