There are a few odd ones in here that I wouldn't have even thought of.
As for peanut butter and apples - I've tried that - Yum! For snacks I also like: Grits with butter and salt, Graham Crackers with peanut butter, and cinnamon sugar, cucumber slices topped with tuna and mayo, or dill pickle and cheese slices sandwiched together. Some of those I fell for while I was pregnant. I guess I've never gotten over them.

His best tip for kids was popcorn on peanut butter sandwiches. The easier way for PB and apple is to cut the apple in half, scoop the core out with a spoon, then fill the hole with peanut butter. If you're outa dip, ketchup and mayo mixed together will do. Apparantly, although it used to be common, it is now strange to put a slice of sharp cheddar on apple pie. . . |

I concur with the Ranch n' French Fries.
French Fries covered in Old Bay are great (it's a Maryland thing). One of my other favorites is Pancakes topped with Bailey's Irish Creme. Delicious.

I've heard of some of these, and eaten on a regular basis many that some are passing off as 'weird'
Try your favourite jelly (strawberry works best) and cheddar cheese on a bagel. The first truly unorthodox combination I can think of is as follows (place ingredients on counter in the numbered order) 1. Soda Cracker, unsalted 2. Medium Cheddar cheese square 3. Hot Pepper ring or two Macedonian food = new hotness

What is "American cheese"? Is it cheddar?
I like aged cheddar with bread and butter pickles over top. Mayo on my fries. Anchovies right out of the can on stoned wheat crackers. Pickled herring. Raw asparagus. A sheet of nori (seaweed for sushi). Artichoke hearts. Shrimp crackers. Bri and hot salsa heated up a bit...yum. I can go on...I'm all about unconventional snack foods.

No, it's processed cheese (sorta like Velveeta, if you know what that is). It's one of the few things that America has produced that makes me hang my head in shame...

Peanut butter the all purpose food!! I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and peanut butter and fresh pineapple. I also like peanut butter on my hamburgers…don’t knock it, it’s not bad!
Another favorite is a cup of coffee with saltines in it. |

medium sized soft tortilla, olive oil and parmesan cheese, toast for three minutes=gooooooood
and I have no idea why, but my mouth started watering after reading just about all of these, no matter how bizarre they sounded...

I haven't had a peanut butter & onion sandwich in a long time...will do that this week as the Vidalias are just in now. woo hoo!
I also have made PBJs using pop-tarts instead of bread and jelly. Whoever said venison jerky, I agree, the stuff is sooo good, especially with a little teriyaki. Lately I've found that washing down Balance bars with a can of Slim-Fast is frigging great...it's better than Red Bull...hehehehe *boioioioioingggg* |

here in China, it's be: Chongqing Strange Tasteing Horse Beans. (yes they do taste strange) also when I was a kid I used to make: pb+honey+white sugar+raisins+chocolate chip sandwhichs... no wonder I have bad teeth

At the movies, a friend taught me to throw the chocolate covered peanuts in the hot popcorn. They melt a little and the salt and sweet and soft and crunchy make a great pairing. I like peanuts, but I don't like them put in many recipes. I tend to only eat them alone. So I tried it with the chocolate raisins which I think is even better because it has dark chocolate and adds a chewy texture.

In keeping with the snack theme and not the meal theme (because I love PB on my pancakes too, but that's not a snack for me anyway!):
peanut butter on apples Very ripe bananas dipped in white sugar (I like my bananas when the peel is turning brown) frosting right out of the container Doritos, bean dip and salsa (I don't think this is strange, but others have said it was.) And probably the strangest for me... pickled okra. Strange because I hate salt and wipe it off all my chips and french fries, and yet pickled okra is salty as hell. And btw: I love american cheese- it makes the best grilled cheese sandwich. Which I then dip in my tomato soup... mmmm I'm so hungry now!

A grilled cheese sandwich with peanut butter kicks ass. French Fries dipped in chocolate milkshake or mustard are great. Turkey breast + Turkey Sausage on whole wheat bread. Turkey Sausage + Cheddar cheese grilled on Rye bread.

Perhaps my most fattening snack is an oreo dipped in peanut butter. Ahhhh......
Peanut butter and apples, a peanut butter and banana sandwich, and just plain peanut butter are also good snacks. I also like pretzels and salsa, french fries and ranch, or a chocolate bar wrapped in a slice of white bread- got that one from my mom.

When I was a kid, I used to really, really enjoy saltine crackers dipped in Black Cherry Kool-aid. The floaties were the best part.
Now that my tastes have matured, I'm a huge fan of a nice, spicy mustard spread across good swiss cheese. No Kraft singles, those are to be eaten all by their lonesome.

Also...if you like that, you should dip your pizza in Ranch too, its just as addicting. I had a friend who used to be obsessed with eating broccoli and barbecue sauce all mushed together...
