Mr Mephisto

How about answering the question on whether you think he would have made a point of talking about this if Bush, or Coulter did the same?

I mentioned the tshirt thing because it is absolutely within the MO of Moore and perhaps someone on the board remembers if he commented on it. I ignored that particular attack because I thought it was ridiculous so I don't know first hand if he did take part in it. I do know that Move On made a big deal about it and certainly Moore is a huge supporter of theirs.

Michael Moore has the body-type and intelligence of 300 pounds of chewed bubblegum.

onetime2, the Bush t-shirt thing was a little different. The shirt was made in a country whose goods were banned by Bush himself. That's what made it so funny.
Still, it is similar to this story in that they are both just funny little stories that you can laugh about for a couple seconds before moving on. Both incidents are probably due to innocent mistakes and anyone who tries to make it more than that is just pushing their partisan agenda.

Ignore the fact that he preaches high ideals and refuses to hold himself up to them, or that he endorses people just as corrupt and two-faced as himself. Only those who are right of the middle are subject to criticism, so please back off of Michael Moore, onetime2. Thank you.
no kidding. i was surprised myself to see anything bad about the beloved moore here.

Does anyone ever watch penn & teller's Bull Shit? They had a nice quote on their episode about how america is always afraid...it was something along the lines of "we are no more likely to be hurt today than we were before, but if something bad does happen, Michael Moore will find a way to make some money off of it."

You miss my point. I agree that neither of these stories has any merit. The point is, Moore nitpicks with the best of them and those pointing to this as an outrageous and pointless attack on him would likely not have the same opinion if it were Moore doing the same thing. He plays off people's desire to see such inconsistencies and yet, when it's done to him, his fans decry it. He would never let an item like this pass without comment if it were his usual targets doing it so I see no reason to protect him from the same fate.
