Uninhibited fun
Life is good. Yesterday my kid and I rocked out to some sci-fi surf-punk band (the Phenomenauts) on the Quad. The keyboard player whipped out crazy laser-gun-looking leaf-blower with a toilet-paper roll on the front of it and "shot" the crowd with huge streams of (clean) toilet paper.
My kid about flipped. It was the coolest thing he had ever seen in his nearly four years of life. He and I spent the rest of the set having a toilet-paper fight in front of the stage. When you don't give a fuck what other people think, life can be a blast. I hope my son remembers that. ![]() This picture isn't from the show we saw (note: it is not outdoors).

I went to a (free) Smash Mouth concert a couple years ago. While pretty much everyone was sitting down on the lawn, there were about 5 or 6 people who were up doing this funky dance and playing around. It was almost more fun watching them than the band. It was obvious they were having a blast and they didnt care what anyone thought.
Good times..

My 4-year-old's view of the world is a joyous adventure until the evil robots come out around bedtime. That's when the Socratic dialogues begin on the existence and rational of said evil robots. The debate is urgent, the arguments often contradictory and the conclusion, if I am lucky, is sleep.
