Images of Oceans on Titan?

http://rn01.rednova.com/news/stories.../story003.html

Scientists have pretty much confirmed the existance of an ocean outside the earth, here in our solar system. Although there is no water in this ocean, that does not remove all chances for life, and in fact the very composition of the liquid making up this body may be the essential chemicals needed for basic life.
It will be fascinating to see what the upcoming probe finds upon landing on Titan.

Any thoughts?

It will be interesting to see. Titan is cool in that it is the only moon in the solar system with any significant atmosphere.

Maybe its a alien made planet long since abandonded.

Ok.. maybe not, but that'd be cool.

Either way this is very good news on the science forefront, I cant wait till the day we are able to truely explore these places.

I just hope the probe survives. When it goes into Titan, they are hoping it lands in an ocean. If it hits land mass, then boom. It's over.

Exciting stuff! As I was reading the article I was thinking to myself, "They should send a probe there" and then as I read on it said, "The probe will arive in 2005", so I'm glad I'm not in charge of sending probes into space or anything like that.

The Cassini orbiter is going to spend the better part of a year observing Titan (amongst other things), in an attempt to map as much as possible to better the chances for a safe landing. Unfortunately even with a perfect mission, they only expect to get a few hours of data from the lander....still, who knows what it will see on the way down.

On the bright side of things, it would be a few hours more than they have now. I would love to be one of the people who gets to analyze all of the raw data that would be coming in.
