my friend bought some of that shit about a year ago. he got a good amount and it lasted a good while. i've smoked it a few times and never really got anything out of it, just a headache, and a few other friends never got anything out of it. but the friend who bought it, well lets just say its pretty fucking funny watching him after he's just smoked it. he'll sit there, with his eyes closed, in a dreamlike trance. and if you fuck with him, he freaks out. the only reason i think it works on him is because he is REALLY sensitive to pretty much anything he does. he's drunk after 4 beers, he doesnt know whats going on when he smokes weed, and he trips pretty hard on bud brownies and shrooms. funny shit sometimes. |

I use a mix of california poppy, lions tail, mugwort and damania herb. It isnt exactly like pot. You dont get the munchies and you have really clear thought. But it is very good. Damania herb can be smoked by itself. It can be used by pot smokers to help get off their addiction and it helps to clean out the liver and kidneys too.

I've tried salvia. It tasted absolutely awful but you get a very hard and short trip. I hallucinated like crazy on it.

Well, as long as we're passing around preparation advice, might as well pass around a few words of caution...
"I started to pack the bowl, but then got extremely scared of going farther into the Ska Maria's touch. I wanted it to end, there and then. Unfourtunatley for me, that wasnt possible. All at once, everything on me began to irritate my skin. I ripped off my clothes down to boxers and took off my rings and hemp necklass. I needed someone, anyone to calm me down. I began to hear more voices, from the park behind my house (giggling and yelling) So without thinking I ran out there. Still in my boxers, i found nothing but darkness. I was terrified, so I ran through the woods to my best friends house ( about a mile away) I knew his parents were gone so i ran in and found him in his room. There he put a fan on me ( i was sweating rivers) and in about 10 minutes I calmed down. Salvia was the most terrifying experience I have ever been a part of. At the same time, It is somehting I look forward to conquering over time. It is hard for me to explain what happened or the fear I was feeling. The outside sky was shifting colors, and i was still mentally awake, for the most part. When people ask me about it, all I can say is... I went absolutely insane." I too have tried Salvia, and had zero luck with it.
Seems like a common sentiment around here. I've always had a soft spot for Kava Kava which you can buy in pill form, or make tea out of. It produces a body buzz and a mild euphoria, unfortunately, I've heard that it's bad for your liver. It might be hard to find as well, and it's pretty addictive.

I couldn't post and here I am with my thumb up my ass while you're beating me to the punch. Anyway, for what it's worth, here was my post. Quote:
As for salvia, yes, I've heard it's good too. But you have to smoke it right for it to work, you can't just burn it like a joint. Well, you can't smoke it in a joint at all. You either have to hotbox a small room with a bunch of it, or take strong bong rips with it. Also, hold the smoke in until you are ready to black out (don't go thatfar, but hold it in until it starts getting really uncomfortable). This link could also be found useful.

Some of my friends got some 10x extract (which is what is commonly sold at herbal stores) and they had no luck with it either. I guess it all depends on the quality/potency of the product. But its not a weed replacement. Its for those who want to see how intense a psychedelic experience can get. Anyways, sticking to the topic of this thread, check erowid.org for info on all kinds of drugs (illegal and legal). Might find something worthwhile there.

I've never tried anything else, but from what I hear from those who has explored every alternative, there's really nothing that compares.
NOTE: This is not a thread discussing whether or not people should use marijuana. Any comments to that effect (including things like, "why not be high on life", and shit like that) from here on will be edited and PM sent reminding you not to do that. Not every thread ON pot is going to turn into a debate on its use- not anymore. Also, we cannot discuss method of use as per our rules- which means how to prepare for smoking, etc. Sorry, but that's the rules. -analog. |

I purchased a tube of blueberry bud from National Oddities site. Received a large amount for the price. This stuff had the look of the real deal. All buds were well shaped and solid. Some type of clumping agent is used. Scent, color, and flavor are added. The taste was blueberry and fairly smooth. The high was weak but not unpleasant. I didn't want this as a substitute. It turned out to be an excellent mixer. Put a layer on the bottom and whatever on top. Anything tasted good with the blueberry mixed in. A $30 investment lasted a long time.
As for the salvia. The drug responds to the person and their enviroment. Soft lights, comfortable clothes, and light instrumental music is practically mandatory. Sucking on fresh leaf is the gradual method I would advise. Quality really counts. Grow your own or find someone who does. Knowing and respecting this gift from nature will reap its rewards. This is not a party drug! Best when used in the company of a trusted soul whom is not partaking with you. Follow my advice and Salvia can change your life for the better. |
