TFP is a great place
I just encountered an(other) elitist asshole on the Internet. I know, I know: its all over the place. I get so tired of 'the little people' getting scared away from posting after they get chastised for something like spelling. Yes, spelling is really important when it is the only means of communication, but many people don't know English, so their spelling or grammar is bad. At least they try to communicate. That's more than we can say about the mostly ethnocentric American culture.
I also try to remind myself of the 'arguing on the Internet' clause, but sometimes I just feel the need to stand up and argue for the little guys. All this to say: the TFP, with it's great community and incredible lack of flames is a great place on the 'net. I'm lucky to have found it, and to be able to visit it daily. I like it here. After spending some time on the imdb message boards and some livejournal communities, I appreciate tfp even more.

Even in a warm fuzzy message it's okay to slam Americans?
Sighs . . . . O.K. - I guess we're getting used to it.

I'm also a huge fan of the lack of flaming. Other sites become almost unusable as a result of it. This one is fabulous.
Rock on TFP!
