Your Style

How do you dress when you can dress how you want? (ie, when you arent at work or under any other dress code rules)

I guess my style is pretty casual, I like to wear shorts and sandals, tee shirts or cheap NY Jets replica tops (I have like 5 I got off ebay)... I tend to wear a lot of retro/ethnic shirts too - I have a whole load of IDF shirts for example - and I have a load of comic book dress shirts.

I guess my style is pretty much slacker/emo/slob...

Jasmar 04-01-2004 02:14 PM

jeans boots and either skate shirts or dress shirts

Psivage 04-01-2004 02:20 PM

jeans and shirt. Day in and day out.

Yakk 04-01-2004 02:39 PM

Random T-shirt (usually mono-coloured), collared shirt unbuttoned over it (white, beige, blue, purple), black jeans or khaki pants, brown leather sorta-running shoes, leather belt, random socks.

In summer, the above with shorts instead of pants, and only have the overshirt sometimes, sometimes a light canvas jacket, sometimes nada. Sandals sometimes.

In winter, add a thinsulate pseudo-parka.

(temperature around here swings from -30 to +25 depending on day/season).

clavus 04-01-2004 02:54 PM

I generally wear clothes comfortable enough to sleep in. Jeans and a T-shirt most of the time. At work. Not at work. Whatever.

spectre 04-01-2004 03:13 PM

T-shirt, jeans, and gymshoes. The t-shirts usually have a Chicago Bears or band logo (Metallica, Megadeth, Mötorhead, etc).

VitaminH 04-01-2004 03:18 PM

Jeans no matter what, shirts will vary, generally pretty casual though. I like leather casual shoes of some sort in the winder, and sandals and nothing but soon as the temp hits 60 steadily. My feet like to breathe.

lurkette 04-01-2004 03:21 PM

It depends on how I'm feeling - sometimes I dress in jeans and tshirt, sometimes kind of gothish and sexy, if I feel like exerting the effort.

World's King 04-01-2004 03:48 PM

Cuffed dark blue Levis, white undershirt... Either a t-shirt with something cool on it or a button up swinger style shirt, black leather steel-toed boots, studded belt with a large buckle, red rag hanging out my back pocket.

Nothing too special.

Halx 04-01-2004 03:59 PM

I'm dressed in black as often as possible. It's slick, neat and easy.

The types of clothes I wear are also very simple. Cargo pants 95% of the time, with either a button-down shirt or a t-shirt. I have only one pair of daily shoes.. black ankle-high leather boots.

matthew330 04-01-2004 04:20 PM

I'm 30 now and haven't worn a pair of jeans since i was in 9th grade. All jeans were tight back then and i opted for the more comfortable khakis or cords. Old habits are hard to break. Still the same, t-shirts or flannels (yeah i know, outta style, but super comfortable). I like getting dressed up but i'm sick of spending 70 on a pair of pants, 55 on a shirt, 30 on a tie and after two washes the mother fuckers don't fit any more cause they shrank.

In a nutshell, i wear what i think is comfortable.

tecoyah 04-01-2004 04:37 PM

Grey and black.Boots and Jeans.

Redjake 04-01-2004 04:58 PM

I wear whatever is in the closet, literally. Now that I'm in college, I wear the same pair of pants for about a week and a half - two weeks straight. I change my shirt every day though. And I take a shower every day. But the pants stay the same for weeks at a time :)

fuzyfuzer 04-01-2004 05:17 PM

i love it that i dress up more when no one is making me than when i am at work because there i am only reqired to wear jeans and t shirt ;)

qtpye4u84 04-01-2004 05:19 PM

I like to wear jeans/skirts what ever makes my butt look good.
I must always Have my Louis Vuitton purse. All the new fashions
BUt they have to look good on me.

Skettios 04-01-2004 05:41 PM

Khaki's and nice/casual dress shirts. I find that they keep me prepared for just about any situation. To be honest, I find this sort of stuff comfortable to sleep in as well. I've always though khakis were softer than jeans.

moonstrucksoul 04-01-2004 05:57 PM

like a granola hippie, lots of fleace, most of the year. or my adidas pants, can't argue with comfort.

txlovely 04-01-2004 06:00 PM

My choice is any cool top with shorts and I must be barefoot... (I'm a warm-weather girl) ;)

Tempboy 04-01-2004 08:08 PM

Jeans and a t-shirt.
Can't beat the classics.

I'll be the first to admit I spend waaaay too much though. I'm a label whore. Dammit. :)

Aletheia 04-01-2004 08:12 PM

Casual as I can be. My GF says I look like a hippie in summer but with short hair. I like what feels comfortable. :)

djtestudo 04-01-2004 08:44 PM

Winter: Jeans and a T-shirt, sneakers

Summer: Denim shorts and a T-shirt, sneakers

Simple, straightforward.

present_future 04-01-2004 08:52 PM

Jeans and a t-shirt most of the time. Occasionally khakis with a nicer polo shirt. During summer, it's sandals all the time except for work.

StormBerlin 04-01-2004 08:59 PM

I used to be a jeans and tee shirt girl, but now I'm more into skirts and cute tops.
I admit I am also a name brand label whore. You have to admit, they last longer than non name brand clothes (with exceptions of course).
I don't wear black anymore. It's a habit I picked up from Abercrombie (bastards), and I got rid of my black shoes/belt and those have to match or it drives me nuts. So yeah, I'm trying to look more feminine.

Karby 04-01-2004 09:05 PM

jeans, t-shirt, sneakers. i'm not really into fashons and the like. i guess i'm just kinda laid back or something.

filtherton 04-01-2004 09:09 PM

I like tight shirts that inevitably show off my belly. I also prefer a nice pair of black carharts. I have a special disdain reserved for the fashion industry and so i try to keep it plain, cheap and functional.

TroutKind 04-01-2004 09:10 PM

A nice pair of baggy jeans, a Patagonia t-shirt with some comfy vans and you're set! As casual and relaxed as you can get.

analog 04-01-2004 09:11 PM

Black jeans, black t-shirt, black rubber/leather boots (soemtimes sandals if i'm bummin' it.. it's warm here :) ).

At the club, black pants (has big pockets and chains and stuff, :D ) black t-shirt, with open black button-shirt over it.

It flows when I walk. :)

SabrinaFair 04-01-2004 09:19 PM

Depends on where I'm going...
School, usually jeans and a t-shirt (usually solid colour or quirky, like my "I Heart Zach Morris" t-shirt) with my Pumas or jeans/khakis/black pants and a sweater (or weather appropriate top) with nice shoes.
Going out, a skirt and heels with a tank top or whatever.
I love clothes...I'm a total clotheshorse...clothes and handbags and shoes and scarves...I think I have a very original style. I usually wear shades of pink, black, and sometimes blue.

Sorry for the rambling, I like clothes way too much.

FaderMonkey 04-01-2004 09:43 PM

t-shirt, shorts, sandals....that's the most comfortable

CinnamonGirl 04-01-2004 09:55 PM

Usually jeans/khakis/cords...I don't wear shorts very often, since my legs glow in the dark :p Pants are almost always boot-cut or flared...I really hate straight-leg jeans. I also love the "hippie" looking jeans, with designs near the cuffs or up the legs.

I like peasant tops and t-shirts...when I lived at home, I used to steal my stepdad's safety t-shirts from work.

I'm short, so I got for the chunky heels when in comes to shoes. I used to have a pair of platform sneakers...those were rad. For now, it's either my heeled boots or my "Willow shoes": they kinda look like the adidas soccer shoes, only they aren't shiny, and they're pink. (for the Buffy fans...they look like the pair Willow was wearing when she and Xander were playing footsie in season 3).

...I think I went way too in depth on that. Summary: comfy, a bit hippie-ish, brands like LEI and Xhilaration. Lots of blues and greens.

And I so want an "I heart Zach Morris" shirt now :D

BoomTruck 04-01-2004 10:20 PM

Jeans (either Wal-Mart or Carhartt)
Steel-toed boots (35 dollar wal-mart special, as my occupations tend to destroy boots quickly)
T-shirts (heavyweight Key or Carhartt) or denim work shirts during the summer
Heavy flannel shirts, LaCrosse insulated steel-toed waterproof boots and full Carhartt outerwear during the winter.

And a beat-up Carharrt baseball cap (started out as black, now sort of a neutral dark grey with some assorted stains) semi-permanently attached to my head. :)

bermuDa 04-01-2004 10:41 PM

pants-wise i usually wear black or tan cargo pants. I have a pair of dickies and jeans that I also wear. Now that the weather is warming up, I wear some form of shorts. I'm almost always in a t-shirt, I just never go into the closet for a button-up (which i usually wear unbuttoned over a t-shirt anyways, so it seems kind of self-defeating)

As for footwear, it's mainly chuck taylors and reef sandals. I've got other shoes and boots, but I don't wear em as often.

gremlinx8 04-02-2004 06:29 AM

Comfy jeans, a tank top and flip flops.

Bill O'Rights 04-02-2004 07:15 AM

I suppose more often than not, I can be found in a simple pair of dockers, polo shirt and brown top siders.

Bleed Me Dry 04-02-2004 07:33 AM

Pretty much all I wear is black...skirts, pant, shoes, shirts etc.

krwlz 04-02-2004 07:37 AM

Blue jeans or shorts depending on the weather
Monocolor Tshirt
Hoody or plain one color sweatshirt, also pending the weather.
Soccer Flats.

flamingdog 04-02-2004 08:54 AM

God, I wish people were a bit more original.

Right now I'm wearing: Jeans and T shirt.

sixate 04-02-2004 09:07 AM

About 95% of my clothes are black or grey. I hate bright colors.
In the fall/winter all I wear are my Timberlands. The rest of the year I'm either wearing a pair of Nike's or some sandals.

When I'm just bumming around all I ever wear are some Nike pants and a shirt/sweatshirt, also Nike. I have so much Nike shit I could open my own store. As soon as it hits 50° I start wearing shorts. All my pants and shorts are a couple sizes too big and very baggy. I can't stand tight clothes.

I'll never wear Dokers or Polo shirts.... Hate it all. It's just not comfortable to me, and what I wear has to be comfortable.

rockogre 04-02-2004 09:59 AM

I'll be buried in Levi's and my C'boy boots, just like I lived.

Oh, and probably in a loud Hawaiian shirt.

moonstrucksoul 04-02-2004 10:11 AM

BLACK BLACK BLACK, that's what most are saying,

Y'know, i used to always wear black, (still wear it often) until i realized how hot I was was in red.
