How far do you read back?

OK, I'm not used to reading such an active forum, so usually all recent activity takes place on the first page. But here at TFP, things fall of the first page pretty fast, and unless you live here, your going to miss out on some interesting discussions.

Unless you go back some pages. So, how do you read tfp? Are you a front pager, or do you bring back threads from the dead?

I usually go back 2-3 pages, unless I've been gone awhile, and am looking for a thread I posted in. Oh, and TB doesn't count.

I generally try to read everything. It's not always possible because I do have a life and have to get shit done, but as a mod it's sorta my duty. Plus I like reading everything that's going on.

But I agree.

I try to read everything. I have days where I play "catch up" with some of it.

I'll try to read the whole thing. Maybe skim the first few pages, but you get so much more out of it when you read all thats been said. If I'm pressed for time, or just impatient though, I'll read only the last page or two.

Ahh yes, some goals to set. now I just have to talk to the 11,000 or so members and ask them not to make any posts for a few days, so I can catch up on the 4800 threads that are going on.

Same here. I read as much as I can, but it isn't always easy to read everything.

I read as much as possible time permitting. However lately I've been busy and will only get more busy as I move into the summer so this is going to become increasingly hard to do.

I typically read about halfway down the first page. But I live here. Doing that I read till the last time I posted. I come here 4 to 5 times a day though.

I voted I'll go back a page. However, it truly is time and life driven. When I read a thread, I like to know how other people reply and what their opinions and viewpoints are. This is how we come to know one another here.
I typically read the whole thread but lately life hasn't provided me the time so I find myself only doing a page.
Things are quieting I think and I may pop up to viewing all soon.

I try and read everything I can in the subjects I'm interested in. I'm a fast reader so I can cover a fair amount of threads. Subscribing to threads certainly helps.

Being I'm home all day, I usually keep fairly current with the first pages, but it's time broken into small bits. If the boyo is in my lap, I gotta keep the screen moving, or he gets bored and tries to mash the keyboard. Or else puts his feet on the edge of the desk, and tries to kick me back across the room. If he's not in my lap, I gotta go drag him off whatever he's trying to climb. Kinda keeps my concentration unfocused...

I'll go all the way back, but I only read threads that sound really interesting to me, which dpends on how much time I have and whether I'm at work (fast connection) or home (slow connection).

Usually stay on the first page, unless there is a specific thread I'm looking for.

Although I usually get a couple hours wind down a day on TFP so I am normally up to date. The hardest part for me is I seem to be in bed due to TZ differences when this place is the most lively..

Pass the Red Bull and Billy Whiz, and I'll sort it out

i mainly just read the first page in the general, members & sports sections. But on the titty board, humor and others its a free-4-all reading whatever page I feel like clicking on at the time.

I put the whole thing, but since I live here, except on weekends, usually it ends up being just the first page or two since that's where all the new posts are.

I voted all the way, but it dependes on the area.
general, members, how to, and wayside: I read all

nonsence, computers, I look for interests or favorite posters/posts

T.B. I look for new posts that got forced off the first page by more popular threads, If they are good I'll comment just to give them one more chance!

Nice to see that it's a good mix. Sometimes I do a search if I'm interested in starting a thread and I want to see if something similar exists, but usually i go back a couple of pages since I check on the daily.
