Growth curve.
The board is currently growing at a rate unlike I've ever seen.
We've got people with insanely, and I might at unmaintainably, high average daily post counts. I have never witnessed the birth of the TFP and I am wondering what kind of growth curve we've got here. I figure we've got a few reasons for the push: 1) Pent up posting energy. 2) Plenty of threads to start about the TFP (like this one). 3) If there are no threads discussing anything, then we have to start them all. 4) People are going to miss their multiple thousand post counts. Make up efforts should be underway for at least a couple days. Then I hope everyone will chill out. I will say this is an exciting time. I am stunned by how fast the threads are growing and how many people are here pushing out the words. I figure the curve is sharp right now, but I'm predicting a lessening of the slope in a week, then a steady decrease in the increase until we level off at a steady rate. I would like to further add that I have a hard time believing there are already two people with over 100 posts. One nearing 200, ALREADY. I pity the mods on spam hunts.

It's not that bad. For the most part, our members are mature enough to know that post count means nothing.

See, with me, I just can't stop posting in every single thread I find. So many people to talk to, so many things to talk about. I try to make my posts meningfull, but you know how it is back in tilted nonsense.

Yes he is. Yes he does. A few other mods/supermods have them too. Custom titles to boot.
Nonsense is fun, and oh, this history of that board.

We had a fairly large community here and we got cut off for a week. Now where back and everyone is at ground zero. We had pages upon pages of discussion on all sorts of topics so now people are in a hury to get all of that back, so many topics are brought back and folks are putting there two cents in.
It really is amazing to watch. |

I just am glad to find such a great forum with so many engaging topics.
Every time I click reload there is a thread worth reading and replying to.. It's great. The only bad thing is going to sleep, only to wake up and "catch-up" on threads I posted in earlier.

It's like going back to a toy store when you were a kid, and waiting for the door to be unlocked - once you're in - you know so many places you want to go visit all at once.
