Random Crying?
Have you for one reason or another cried really for no reason. Like I was watching TV the other day and it wasn't really anything depressing or anything but it was sad in nature. I just started to cry for about 3 minutes and then afterwards I felt really good! It was weird...anyone else?

I cried for a very long time today...but there was a very good reason. I never cry for no reason. I actually hadn't cried in a looong time before today.

I've done that. I think sometimes its related to PMS. I can be laughing my head off and next thing I know I'm crying. Not crying because I'm laughing too hard. It's downright, boohoo kind of cry. Fortunately it doesn't happen often. It usually happens when I'm down physically. Ill or anemic or PMSing. Just ask hubby. Stay away when I PMS.

If I'm particularily stressed, which happens all too often, then I'm much more likely to break down over something that normally wouldn't bother me. Plus, I'm generally an emotional person, so yes, I have just broken down and cried before, but I wouldn't call it a common occurence.

I feel things on a deeper level than most. I can cry easily when I tell a friend how I feel about them or during a sappy romantic movie. Some say it's an over emotional reaction; I look at is as a gift.

It's rare, but I have been known on occasion to just sit and have a good cry.
And I do feel *so* much better afterwards. I suppose the release of a pent-up emotion (much like an emotional orgasm??) is what brings the high afterwards.....

Umm...I don't know about all you ladies who posted above me...but no, I do not randomly cry. If ever.
I generally do not waste time feeling sorry for myself. There's no point. It's much more stress-relieving to go destroy something (lighbulbs work wonders) or to just scream at the intern. Poor intern. Oh well, I'll never get my comeuppance. No comeuppance, I say!

It always seems that right around Academy Award season, all the movies try to jerk those tears from ya.... they did a good number on me this year with all the various bigscreen and tv movies.

I remember going to a talk where the guy said random crying was a sign of depression, anxiety, and just about anything else under the sky
I think a random cry is good every now and then, especially when you feel better afterwards. That said, I haven't cried cried in a while. I always try to fight it. *needs to take own advice* |
