I call her Mom although occasionally I'll use mother if I'm exasperated or pissed off.

Sometimes Mom when I'm referring to her.
But I address her as Mama.

I used to do that too. But it is Mommy Dearest that you are thinking of.
I used to call her mommy dearest sometimes, but it was all in good fun, she would get a clothes hanger and run after me.

thanks, it's been awhile, i've been out of the house for 4 yrs now ;) mine blew up in the supermarket once...said i'd make hte teller think she abused me! ;)

I learned as a little kid there are too many mommies out there, but if you call them by their first name you get their attention fast so I have been calling my mother by her first name since I was abt seven.
