Virginia/NC/DC get together & poll
Please only vote if you live in a nearby area and actually intend on attending! We need these statistics to be as close to representative of the crowd that's going to be there as possible
Let's get the planning ball rolling. I'd like to see it in either Fredricksburg or Richmond to enable Raleigh/Durham folks to make it without having to drive all the way to DC. If its in Richmond, I can help take care of the planning and get us a reservation somewhere (depending on the number of people coming). Let's see what this poll turns out. Disregard the percentages ... we're only interested in the quantity of answers for each option. We'll try to accomodate though.

I'm in MD, northside of the beltway, not far from where the 95 meets the 495. Think New Ikea or Terps
I'm over 21...hell im over thirty, and schedule permitting, Can be in any of cities presented. Obviously, Mid or southern VA would prove most difficult, and preferred location would be as close to me as possible. But being as selfless as I am... -bear

If it is going to be a weekend in March, I'll almost certainly be there. I didn't want to vote and and make a problem since I am not exactly a Virginian right now. Also, I am over 21. Richmond is kind of far though, but don't let me be a deal breaker. Maybe I'll just have to organize something in NY!

I'm attending good ol' Roanoke College, which puts me in Salem, Virginia.
Furthermore, because I do not possess a reliable source of transportation, it would be unlikely that I could make it beyond Richmond, and even then I'm gonna have to do a song and dance to procure a vehicle for a weekend. On the other hand, I'm heading to DC sometime in late February or early March. So, there's always the possibility that I can make it if DC is locale of choice.

I doubt I would be able to make it regardless, but I voted anyways. Being in Chapel Hill, NC (Raleigh/Durham, basically), I voted for southern VA.

As I mentioned a few times before... phredgreen and I are new to Virginia.. just moved here from Az a few weeks ago. I started school at VCU last week and he is busy with work right now.. but we would be up for a get together. Would be great to know some other tfp'ers in the area.

With the number of TFPers in the DC area we could have an informal get together -- nothing fancy -- just a bunch of people getting together one afternoon grabbing a bit to eat and having a cocktail....I feel as if everyone is trying to organize an "official" get - together. If you're in this area and are interested in going out sometime --- let me know and I'll get at least 5 other fellow TFPers to join us...
With that being said I wouldn't be opposed to heading down south for the "formal" get together.... PM me if anyone needs help organizing this.

I woul dlove to attend a DC/MD area TFP get together schedule permitting. I live in PA but work in the DC area. Baltimore is easier for me from home though.

I agree. Meeting everyone is going to overshadow the actual location. We should get an accurate idea of how many people are interested. |

Like I said in the other thread, I'm in Yorktown. I don't mind going to Richmond or DC. As for weekends, I'm planning on skiing a couple of these weekends before the snow melts

Ally and I would probably go if it wasn't in NOVA or MD.
We live in Western NC, so the closer to us the better.

I think Basmoq & I have decided that we're going to DC on a train after classes get out... May 20th or something in that area. So lets all get together then and there.
Also I put down that i'm Twenty, but after the 11th I'll be 21, and Basmoq will be 21 by then as well.

richmond or dc, it just depends on the when of it all. my schedule changes from week to week, and bluebongo's schedule is limited due to school and her job, so a when will be the deal maker/breaker for either or both of us.
