bparker805 01-26-2004 11:21 AM

Now if I can only get one with a scantily clad Princess Leia saying that I am her only hope...

shakran 01-26-2004 11:22 AM

anyone notice how much that thing looks like the Okama Game Sphere from Southpark?

water_boy1999 01-26-2004 11:37 AM

Damn, that's tight! I will still be a video junkie in 10 years so I can't wait!

feelgood 01-26-2004 11:40 AM

Nanz 01-26-2004 11:44 AM

could you imagin the possibilities for pr0n on one of them things!

Phaenx 01-26-2004 11:50 AM

I'm already pissed about not having flying cars, if playstation 9 doesn't alter my brainwaves and project a world into my brain then I'm going to burn their fucking headquarters down.

Stare At The Sun 01-26-2004 12:06 PM

Kick ass. I can't wait to see what the future brings. :)

Gortexfogg 01-26-2004 12:21 PM

Very cool stuff. I wonder if it can project the inside of a snow globe...

I think there are going to be countless people quoting your comment, with good reason.

MacGnG 01-26-2004 12:59 PM

coolness

World's King 01-26-2004 01:22 PM

I bet StarWarsBoy will have one real soon.

They'll be inflammible by then. ;)

That thing's cool.. But I'd rather want the Sam & Max version of the hologram.. if any of you remember that :)

Vales419 01-26-2004 03:14 PM

Very cool, thanks for the pic. Looking forward to the days, where you can wear a device like a wristwatch and play games, video phone, the whole nine.

Ahhh, how wonderful technology really is, to bad it is going to KILL us all.

they would still burn down if they were inflammable. Crazy english language.

omega2K4 01-26-2004 10:41 PM

What about your LandSpeeder, or Speerbike, those things'd be mega-chick-magnets.

Yeah, but you can't cut shit with those.

Nisses 01-27-2004 12:19 AM

or deflect lasers

yellowgowild 01-27-2004 12:19 AM

Not cool, all it is is a peice of plastic rotating while computer projects things onto it at the right moment to appear 3-D.

I still want my flying car, but after September 11th I think we all understand why we can't have those. Not to mention the fact that when a flying car breaks down, it can't pull over, instead it falls into your house.....

Skynet is watching you.

troit 01-27-2004 08:06 AM

Looks like we are all living in the future.....

*starts to chant the theme to the Twilight Zone....

Arc101 01-27-2004 08:12 AM

Yep I wouldn't mind one of those, but I'm still waiting for an AT-AT - if I had one of those I could destroy all the other vehicles on the road and maybe I'll be able to get to work on time !

hahahaha oh this made me laugh...
I never thought of the ramifications of a stall while in a flying car.. perhaps parachutes should be standard equipment?

Ive got thie great mental image now... nice suburban house, picket fence, kids playing in the street, and then in a fraction of a second, *WHAM*, a car takes out the middle of a house, cratering it.

And the kids just look at it and giggle at the poor boy whose house it was...

gilada 01-27-2004 09:16 AM

all great technology will find it's niche in porn.

Orodinn 01-27-2004 03:27 PM

I just wonder if the transparent bulb is necessary for it too work. If not, itd be great. Just imagine the possibilities if you could project completely opaque 3d forms. You could scare the shit outta people...

Soggybagel 01-27-2004 03:43 PM

I'd rather have a plasma Tv

cait987 01-27-2004 03:45 PM

Haha, that thing looks sweet just gotta hope you have 10000 dollars to play with and also, controling it may suck unless its like a virtual thing since you would be playing a 3d game from a 3d world would look weird and control odd. But it looks sweet none the less

thejoker130 01-27-2004 07:11 PM

I'm holding out for a Shadowrun datajack.....

Litespeed 01-27-2004 07:42 PM

Now THAT is great! I was wondering when we'd get there...

GoldenOuroboros 01-28-2004 02:20 PM

mmm.. a Neural interface would be great.. something that plugs into the back of your neck, which I think thejoker130 is talking about...

But either way.. that is pretty spiffy.. now if it were only reeal hologram and not a spinning disk.

Oh and a lightsabre

macmanmike6100 01-29-2004 03:31 AM

oh...my...god I most definitely need to get me one of those, and I'm talking about the Perspectra

tritium 01-29-2004 10:54 AM

I was looking for another link that I found some months back via fark.com regarding a different technology that was being developed that displayed the 3d image without a surrounding globe or fog. I can't seem to find it now.

I remember it was something like: o3technology.com but that's not right.

hilbert25 01-29-2004 05:42 PM

That's cool and I'd love to have one.

Does anyone remember the holographic video game that came out awhile back? It was fmv game in arcades with a cowboy I think, you shot bad guys and it was all 3d holograms.
