Nintendo had one for a while called the VirtualBoy that was supposed to feel 3d but it amounted to flying red lines à la Atari 2600. It came as a system with a ridiculous headset that basically in and of itself did the entire concept in from the outset (to say nothing of the monochrome red display).

Monochrome sucks.


This is OLD school 3d, baby! Looks like a design for army issue nightvision goggles, doesn't it? lol!

Its kinda fun to see that the design for the controllers resurface a few years later on the Nintendo64.

I remember that game. I wasnt a big fan after dropping about a dollar worth of quarters into and lossing all my lives in less than a minute.
