FARK?
 

I was just browsing through some of the post here and all I could think was that I might as well be a FARK. There are piles of unoriginal reguritated stories from other locations on the web. WTF? Can't we come up with something to talk about that is not somone elses doing?

fark has lots of flametards that don't contribute to the community. Here we do. Look around at the other forums. There's plenty to pick from.

A very good point powder. Perhaps I can offer some suggestions:

1. Start a new thread of something YOU find interesting
2. Peruse the multitude of other threads and forums of interest
3. Leave

Myself, I like Fark because I can go there and engage in pyrotechnics and play fast and loose with facts and say things without regard to the feelings of others because, well, that's pretty much expected. On the other hand, I spend about 10 times as much time here, because it's nice to civily talk things over and have one's stupidity reserved for more benign uses (like in Tilted Nonsense). It's the difference between the upstairs, back of house, wood panelled bar and the mosh pit in front of the stage. Everyone hears the same music. So we mull some of the same issues as they do on Fark. So what? We do it differently. A thread here, for instance, can last for weeks or months. A thread on Fark lasts a day. Two at most.

Anyone can play football, but not in the NFL.

If all you see is fark then you aren't looking very hard.
