anecdotal evidence
I always enjoy how anecdotal evidence can be used to "prove" anything. Here's a story reported today by Ohio.com. I invented the headline to make the point...
OBESITY SAVES LIVES "A Chilean trapeze artist who plummeted to the ground while performing without a net was saved when he landed on an obese spectator, reports The Week." ... Do you have some anecdotal evidence that offers spurious "proof" of something?
