How can I help my friend?
 

I didn't know where else to post this question, so I just chose general discussion.
You see, I have this very beautiful friend who I think has a legitimate shot at becoming a model. I was thinking the other day that maybe I could help her get some exposure with a couple of agencies. Problem is, I have no idea how. Does anyone have any knowledge they could share?

Can't help you specifically, but definitely be sure she WANTS you to help her first.

Yeah I already talked to her about it, and she says she has taken a lot of good pictures (she worked at a portrait stand at the mall for about a year.) and wouldn't mind giving me some. She is actually really excited, and I thought it would be cool.

check yellow pages for photographers for headsots, and for local talent agents.

of course the net works too.

Actually, I'm being prodded to get into modeling myself. The first step, as Cynthetiq said, is getting headshots.

Get her an agent. Just look in the phone book or ask around and try to find her the best one you can get for her. The agent will take care of finding auditions for her and all the require is a percentage. Make sure she has plenty of photos of herself in many various poses and dress then create a portfolio and give a copy to the agent.
