OK heres the deal.....i need a place to vent my frustration. I post pictures of mine on another website where many other users post pictures. At this website you can also view other users pictures and gallerys that they composed and posted. Well one individual posted pictures in favor of the War in Iraq....pro-bush anti-saddam, which in my opinion, is not the best idea for a gallery of picture ( my political views are another subject). So i posted some comments to the individual that the war is a bad thing, that GW is wrong for what he did, again ( my political views are another subject).
So the owner of the site typed back a rather lengthy comment to me on why we should invade Iraq, why this war is right and why George in a good man. I started reading this persons views and comments back to me and i started to realize that this is some in depth writing, very detailed. So i copy and pasted a line out of his comments and did a google search on it, and sure enuf it popped up an article written on the internet by a news source. He plagarized the whole thing. Here I thought this person was an intelligent person, commenting on why the war is a good thing, but he was just steeling ideas from other people. So i wrote back a note saying that plagarism is a silly thing, but i think you really should cite the information you have typed instead of steeling it from other people.
Well his comments were "Fuck you idiot. Like you didnt know. You guys crack me up. Personal attacks is all you can muster." and from there he went and left comments on website, FUCK you....die you liberal scum.....i hope your first born dies. and then he proceded to leave George bush pictures in everyone of my gallerys.
Here i thought i was having an intelligent discussion with a person, but i guess i hit the soft spot when i busted him for plagarism.
Now i want to get that bastard back....but i think i better just leave it alone. pLus i am very poor at confrontation, but i have a feeling that this person has made himself seem important and intelligent to other people and i just want people to know how fake and phony he really is.

I hope i didn't bore to many of you.

I've realized over the years that most people with "opinions" are really just stupid fucks. Don't let him bother you...he's probably a lonely, sad old man with nothing better to do than screw with you.

Don't worry about it. It's just some dumb shit on some obscure website on the Internet. It doesn't (or shouldn't) have any bearing on real life. You can't ignore others with the push of a button in real life, so take advantage of that now.

This gallery place doesn't sound like a place you should expect mature behavior. The best you can probably do is report him to a moderator or admin about spamming your gallery.

Getting upset at people on the internet is about as futule as getting upset at the weather. You'll only give yourself an ulcer. Just ignore what offends you, and move on to something that doesn't.

If everyone on the internet practiced this, the world would be a better place.

I had a very snappy comment, but decided I would offend too many people. Some justly. Something about the Special Olympics. Anyway I will just say, arguing politics and religion are a waste of time. Very few people really want to hear someone else's opinion.

I'm willing to bet he is 13 years old. By the way he erupted in what seemed to be a debate. More importantly what he did after you called him on Copying someone else's work? You can't be mature and do that type of thing. From this.. This kid has a lot to learn and will soon get busted for in school. Heck just the thought that it will probably get him kick out of college (if he makes it) should be enough to neualize your rage. :)

post a picture of his email (including the sender's address), and a pictures of the article from which he plagiarized in a very public place, with a brief explanation. you could also include your response and his last email to you, to show just how mature he is.

Just show this person that you are better than them by showing them that you are more mature by simply not caring. You are more mature than this individual-- I can tell from your post. We need more mature people in this world :)

In all seriousness, though, don't let him get the better of you. Don't let him get you upset. That's obviously what he wants. Ignore him, report him to a mod for spamming your account. And forget about him.

I like my solution better, the best solution may be to ignore him, but it's more fun to show everyone else what a mental midget he is.

I like the poop in the box idea, heee heeee, but i am going to take the point of ignoring this guy. You guys make a lot of valid points, especailly spived2 on the fact that we both have no control over the situation. I reported the individual also. My best way is to vote the other way in November so that his vote is null and void.

I feel a lot better already.

The way I look at it is

1, The writers views were so close to his that he could not worded it better himself.

2, he's just another puppet that the media told him what to think

as for the whole plagerism thing. NAH, it was just easier for him to cut and paste other then post himself.

I would just ignore it. I've found that internet-based argument rarely goes anywhere.

I think he was only able to spam the account because he is the head honcho of the site. Although you two gave good advice, maybe you should read posts a little more carefully. Didn't mean to nitpick here. Sorry :)

Respond, telling him that whenever someone so strongly advocates a viewpoint in an offensive way, it's likely to turn those who are in the middle against that view. He will probably respond with somehting immature like, "It doesn't matter how many people agree, I'm right and you're a stupid commie."

At this point, take your pictures off of his site, state clearly that you're taking the moral high road by refusing to retaliate childishly, and never go back again.

I'm offended by liberals who love insane murderous dictators, go against anything America does, and hate Bush just because it's fashionable (having a legitimate gripe about him is another thing; I have several of my own), but that doesn't mean I'm going to go around looking for people who post anti-Bush photos and whine at them.

Here's what I would do:
1) Disregard him
2) Simple closing reply that shows your unphased by his feeble verbally hyper defensive via closest-thing-to-a-good-offense, such as a non-serious (as he does not warrant the usage of brain power) "Okey Dokey"

Hehe well, lets just say that given the time of night and my state of sleep deprivation, by the time I reached the end of the post, the first parts of it have already fluttered away like little white doves.

Since this is the guy running the site, I wouldn't want to even be a part of it, period.... There are certain conduct responsibilities admins have to keep, and that one certainly didn't sound like he did.

As far as pro-war pictures, everyone's entitled to their opinion, right or wrong. You don't have to agree with them but it's a two way street.

I'm pro-war and definately pro-bush.. but that guy is ignorant, power abusive, and well opressive.. let him be a moron, do what you gotta do and if his board is that bothersome, leave... best thing I can tell you, he probably gets money for all the hits from users he gets and if you stop using his site, he'll get less money... that would kinda piss me off.. If I was an ignorant person and the man I yelled at, smarter, walked away and hurt me in the process..

political views are something I think are personal and don't like to get into too much discussion about becasue they often cause fights... so when someone has a different view.. I just tell myself.. well... they are an ignoramous.. and move on... why bother arguing with someone online that you'll never meet in person? or ever deal with except on a messageboard? seems kinda pointless if you ask me ;)
