Sexual Peak
 

I just want to hear the opinions from my friends at tfp.

Humans were created with sexual peaks as they grow older. Men find theirs at the age of 18 while women get theirs at age 35.

Is this good or bad? Would you have it any other way? Was this a wise choice on the part of our creator? (if you believe in one)

Depends on what you mean by peak....

When I was 18 I could probably go three times in a day. At 30+, I can't recover quite so quickly, but I can go three times longer, and am (my wife leads me to believe) many times better at what I do.

I'd trade the brute strength of my youth for the finesse acquired over the years any day of the week....

It has never been about how many times you can go, but how you go, and knowing how to comes with age. If you are lucky enough to be with a woman who is 35 you'll know what I'm talking about.

Reminds me of the old joke...

Two bulls up on top of a hill. The son sees a herd of cows at the base of the hill and says to his dad, "Dad, lets run down the hill and fuck some cows" To which the father replies, "No son, let's walk down the hill and fuck the whole herd"

From a strictly evolutionary standing, it makes sense I guess. The male can get maximum seed deposited when both he and the female young and healthy. And the female is more mature and better equipped to provide for the young. Then as he gets older, there's less need to breed. But, since we're Humans and not livestock, we get the benefit of copulating for pleasure and not just species preservation. Right?

Anyway, that's just my theory.

I think it makes sense
A young man will take great risks to spread his genes. If we stayed as crazy as we were when we were in our teens, we would probably all die young and would not be around to raise the children we have fathered.
Women probably reach their peak so that they seek out sexual encounters as a "last chance" to get pregnant before they get too old.

I don't think that sexual peaks are as clear cut as science tries to make them out to be.

I'm currently almost 27. I have just as much stamina now as I did when I was 18. I can "recharge" very quickly and easily have sex with a woman three times in a short session.

On the other side of the coin, I've been with women who are 18 that can fuck like rabbits. And I've also been with women who are 38 who can fuck like rabbits. At least in my experience, the 18 year old and the 38 year old had equal stamina and sexual desires.

Definitely no lag on my part nor on the part of the younger women I've been with.

I would also agree with you that you can find younger women who can fuck like rabbits.

I think as women get older they don't worry so much about having premarital sex. They realize that life is finite. They figure I am 38 years old and I would rather be getting laid and feeling good then keeping a dime between my knees.

I think ability in the bedroom is one thing and it comes with some experience and some of what you are made of. But in women's cases, as they age, they don't care so much about the stigma of having sex like they did when they were 18 or 21.

I saw a birthday card once that had a drawing of a birthday party for some old lady. This guy had a piece of cake in his hand and he was spooning it into this old lady's mouth saying, "Happy 112th birthday Mrs. Jones"

She was sitting in a wheel chair and the thought bubble over her head read, "I should have fucked every man i ever met"

I remember a Discovery channel show I recently watched that disputed the fact that men reach sexual peak at 18 but rather reached this plateau at 30. Unfortunately -- I cannot not find any data to back this statement up. If I remember correctly the theory was based on the number of times a male had sex -- which occurs alot more at the age of thirty than 18 because most males at thirty are involved in a manogomous(sp?) relationship whereas an 18 year old is single and just trying to bust a nut every once in awhile. Also thinking of a peak as a high point -- if that high point is 18 then where does that low start? At 8? If that were true then our entire sexual lifespan would be from 8 to 28, which we all know is not true...

I don't put any stock in sexual peaks from a male point of view.I could do it 6 times a day when I was 18 and I can do it 6 times a day at 37.The only difference between then and now is that now I choose not to play games like how many times I can do it.I know how many times I can do it and now enjoyed the ride and so do my partners.

I thought more about this last night. I probably have had a fall off in performance compared to when I was 18. I am now 50. However, if I were still fucking 18 year olds I'm almost positive that I's fuck like an 18 year old again. Boy, I'd sure like to find out if that's true. :)

That entire "men at 18 and women at 35" seems to be some sort of cruel joke to me! Seriously, I believe that age equates experience and I would much much prefer someone who has a few tricks up his sleeve than an 18 yr old who can go all night.
