WheresGeorge.com
So, has anyone gotten any hits on WheresGeorge.com?
I got one last year (lol I can say it) when I started using it. Thats it. I've entered 13 bills. For those of us who don't know, wheresgeorge.com is a website that shows where your bills have been courtesy of a mark/stamp/written wheresgeorge.com on the bill. I learned of it when I got one bill with wheresgeorge.com stamped on it. It was cool, it was from a gas station in Bakersfield. Canadians don't despair! For there is Whereswilly.com |

I haven't checked back recently, but last year sometime i got one, registered, and submitted that bill. It had actually had 3 or 4 hits before me. I think its a very cool idea, and more people should check it out.

I always swap out for all the bills that come into the register at work. So far, I have one hit on the 20 or so bills I have entered. I even mailed a $20 to a guy in Australia for payment of an eBay auction and never got a hit on it. Oddly, all the bills I find seem to come from the same user.

I've only entered 3 of them. Gotten 2 hits on one. I found a $5 last week but didn't realize it had been stamped until I was handing it to the cashier. I needed it to pay for stuff so couldn't register it. All the hits I have for my bills have been within a 60 mi radius of home. Guess my money doesn't go far. Knew that already.

I've been doing it semi-religously since 2000. I hadn't gotten many hits (less than 1%), until I found out my brother-in-law was also doing it. He stamps his bills and is getting about a 12-15% hit rate. I got a stamp, and you can see the difference in hits. I consider an inexpensive hobby.

Funny you should post this thread. I had received a bill with the stamp on it and set it aside to do later...I never got to it and had forgotten about it and then last week when I was setting up my new computer I stumbled across it and decided this time I will do it. After reading your thread and the posts, I feel like I have almost "killed" one! We can't be having that now can we???
Thanks for the reminder!
