Well, its been a rough december.

Starting thanksgiving night.. the loser that lived next door to us in the apartment got a bit stupid. He set a something going and walked outside.

My wife, 3 kids, and my best friend was asleep at the time. Me, I was playing a new game, when I got a wiff of something in the air.

Next I know, the loser next door kicks our door in. Normally, I would reach over and click the safety off on my gun. But I waited. He yells there is a fire.

I actually said in my full belly, tired state. "Dude, there is no fire. I have my wife, three kids, and three computers in here. There is no fire."

he told me, "no im my apt"

so he grabs my fire extinuisher and perseeds to walk next door.

our aptartment is the 2nd story one on this block of them. the last one on the right.. a wall seperates ours from his

I yell for my wife to get up and grab kids.. at this time with the front door open. smoke is pouring in. all this from the overhang. His back bedroom right across from our main bedroom.. is burning like hell. there is a 10 foot jet of flame with in 20 sec it burns from his window straight up through the roof and is making a nice marker for everyone on the two fire departments to home in on.

as I'm stepping outside to check if its ok for my wife and friend to rush the kids down the front stairs to safety. Loser boy with out any thought of anyone. kicks his front door in. well guess what...

yep now the whole block is gonna go up. Fire dept, gets here.. long story short.. fire goes out.. he's apt is lost.. all other apts are safe.. then we get to ours


we lost really nothing.. mostly smoke dmg. my dsl line is between his and ours.. its sorta dmg.. its got a habit of dying at odd times. the electricity finally got turned back on..

kicker is this.. this is a HUD apt. the dude that operates it is dicking us around. for two weeks they were supposed to clean and paint it. fix anything in it.. ive been after them forever..

but monday is judgement day. Drider's full wraith is comeing down and im gonna call down hell on his ass.

why..

1. the dude that was staying in the apt was kicked out.. he wasnt supposed to be there.

(this means that if he was out there was a good chance there would have been no fire. and being HUD run.. someone would get fired once that is given out to proper peps)

2. the police report states that a licenced electriction has to come out and verify the wiring in the house before being turned on. This didnt happen.

3. my best friend's dad and a doctor i know in town are two main people in HUD and Habitat for humanity around here.

monday im going to the people that hold the lease to this place.. and talk real nice to them but firm in my stance on how i feel about it. ive already printed the laws on this for louisiana. Man if i wanted, i could go to court and with the losers here in this town.. i'd end up getting enough money for a new house and extra.. but im not that evil.. just want my apt back.


my birthday was extra special this year.. I had the ability to share it with my wife and 3 kids.. Seeing how i could have easially lost them, it was my joy of my life. and still is..

the area buisnesses have donated us a tree and several items for the kids.. cuz money has become a joke to us .. cuz we have to replace clothes, beds and living room stuff.. (smoke smell is hard to get out sometimes..) alot of the stuff we got the smell out but others its a lost cause.

but im still here.. and happy.

Glad to hear no one was hurt. Could have turned a bad situation into a MUCH worse one.

I'd get everything you can out of the poor treatment you have been given in regards to your safety though. Those laws are in place to prevent this very thing, and you shouldn't feel bad about taking full advantage of them to cause as much punishment as possible to those responsible. They risked not only your possessions but your very LIVES - and that is quite obviously 100% unacceptable. So, I say take 'em for everything they've got. Besides, wouldn't it be nice to live in a house?
