Color test?
I saw this link for a color test on the other thread it it gave incredible and very accurate results for me. I'm really impressed, but I somehow doubt its validity seeing how simple the test was.

Your Existing Situation
Active, but feels that insufficient progress or reward is being made for the effort exerted Incorrect. I am active but I think Im progressing well in everything Im doing even though I may be a little impatient at times with anything that is beyond my control. Your Stress Sources Wants to overcome a feeling of emptiness and to bridge the gap which he feels separates himself from others. Anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to explore all its possibilities, and to live it to the fullest. He therefore resents any restriction or limitation being imposed on him and insists on being free and unhampered. Pretty much on the money except that there is no big gap that separates me from other people. I do valuve freedom as my highest priority and will resist any attempts to restrict me. Your restrained Characteristics Insists that his hopes and ideas are realistic, but needs reassurance and encouragement. Egocentric and therefore quick to take offense. Very exacting in the standards he applies to his choice of a partner and seeking a rather unrealistic perfection in his sex life. Somewhat true. I do elicit feedback from others about the choices I make but I rather that people disagree with them because I enjoy the challenge of "going it alone." I am egocentric but I dont take offence easily. Im concerned with self actualization first and foremost which is something that didnt come naturally to me, I hate to cultivate it. I do look for perfection in the woman that will mother my children, but I dont expect perfection out of anyone. I am resigned to never marry because I will not find a woman to meet my standards or maybe Ill settle for someone I just have a lot of fun with and can hold her own in any situation. I do consciously work toward perfection in anything I care about and have the most respect for those that do the same. Your Desired Objective Wants to make a favorable impression and be recognized. Needs to feel appreciated and admired. Sensitive and easily hurt if no notice is taken of him or if he is not given adequate acknowledgment. Somewhat true. Im an exhibitionist and teacher by nature. Whenever I teach, I love for students to embrace the knowledge and wisom I am trying to impart but at the same time I love finding a new teacher and being wrong about things so that I can learn. When I learn a lot about a subject my interest in it starts to decrease. I love to learn and teach then learn something else and teach that. Im also far from sensitive. In fact, If wish I were a little more sensitive to criticism these days because I can be a bit of an asshole and not care when I upset people. Your Actual Problem Strongly resists outside influence and any interference with his freedom to make his own decisions and plans. Works to establish and strengthen his own position. Afraid that he may be prevented from achieving the things he wants and therefore demands that others should recognize his right to them True, but is that a problem?

So I did a test of my own -- I took it seriously the first time, and was surprised by how accurate it was, even though it was pretty negative and harsh. Then the second time through I just clicked randomly on both tests, as fast as i could, regardless of color.
The second time through was just as accurate, and also had some of the few same responses! But I *know* that I didn't do the same order! To be sure, I did it a 3rd time with my eyes closed. I just clicked in the general area of the boxes until they were all gone when I looked, and got basically the same results. So I figure, everyone could say that at least part of most of the responses is true about htem...we all have problems and emotions like that, that's what makes us all depressed, or stressed, or even encouraged. Part of being human...but the wording was very generalized too. One last thing about the responses -- they all seemed negative as hell! It tried to tell you "what's wrong with you" (based on color choice! hahaha) but gives no suggestions to help! So I sure hope nobody took this too seriously.... Anyway that's just my 2c...gotta be skeptical Thanks for the link!!! That was interesting. |

Uh... wasn't very accurate. Color psychology? Guys I am a psych major at a major University and while certain colors can induce slight physiological reponses, any company making hiring decisions based on what colors someone likes is wasting time and money.

I don't know...it was pretty accurate, (the first thing it said was "inactive" , just because I sit in front of the computer all day?, it's not like these posts type themselves!).
I'm skeptical of the posts that just flatly said it was wrong. Some people just might not like hearing the truth. and FEARLESS_HEYNA, I did the same thing you did except I specifically picked the colors in the exact opposite order the second time around and I got markedly different responses. CHRIS JERICHO, I understand what you mean. I was very nearly a psych major in college myself. And I have a couple friends who are now a psychologist and a psychiatrist. But, honestly it all depends on what theories your college teahces. The test was correct in saying that "color psychology" is taken much more seriously in Europe than the U.S. |

So what if your colour blind ?
I took it and well, I can read into it and say man that thing was bang on, or sit back and think the statements over and come to the concl. that they are just statements that can fit anyone at most points in a persons life. |

The first 2 results were kinda bogus, but everything after that was quite acute.
I would rather see a shrink, though.

Accurate.
I don't like it. I prefer to assume that there is a random wording of descriptions that make it semi applicable to anyone. If not... Fucking Psych students.

The first page said i was methodical... which i don't think i am. But everything else, to my fears and all was so true. I was skepctical at first how pushing some colours can come up with something accurate, but there you are.
