Is violence sexy?
 

I just posted a similar thread to this, but it reminded me of something else I heard yesterday.

I got this story third hand, but via reliable sources.
There was a fight in a bar my friend works in.
The bouncers, predictably, ended up beating the living shit out of everyone they could get their hands on.

Afterwards, some of the girls who work there were overheard discussing how much they wanted to go and fuck these bouncers.

Naively, I had always thought the thing about women being turned on by violence was a myth.

Is this normal?

A battle with honor invigorates

When there is no honor, it is animalistic & selfish.

But never is it sexy.

I like what rogue49 said about honor in battle. If there is honor, it seems more attractive (exception: Kill Bill) than one idiot throwing punches at another because he thought he was makin' googly eyes at his woman. Nope, it's never sexy to me, either.

I like a good fight, only if the cause was right. If it was over a stupid thing like money or drug...then, get the fuk outta here and let me enjoy my drink...

Maybe the only sexy part of violence itself is the adrenaline that pumps when a person feels fear. Gotta do something with that adrenaline.;)

Aside from that, I suppose a person who easily defends themself and those around them from an attack with confidence and physical finesse would be a turn on. Like a martial artist.

I've worked in a bar where they employed some really top notch bouncers. The good, professional ones (not the thugs) always made the work easier. Hanging out with these dudes after work and riding home on the train was cool. You thought, "if some punk comes in here, he has to get through these guys first." I can understand how that confidence and defensive ability would be a turn on.

violence is not even remotely sexy to me. the only way it would be is the simple adrenaline rush and blood flow afterwards.

now role playing 'violence' is another matter. as i told a friend 'I like BDSM.... in theory'.

I dont think that they would have found the violence itself sexy, but rather were attracted to the fact that the men exhibited strength, confidence, power, protection, etc. Sort of the hero type, in a way.

Back when I was with my ex, we'd have a fight (argument, not physical) and then go DIRECTLY into sex. Yelling at each other just stoked us up so much that we fucked like crazy afterwards.

This one time, we were so pissed we were right in each other's faces, and SCREAMING, and out of nowhere, she (almost literally) THROWS me back onto the bed (I weighed 220 at the time, so quite a push), yanks her shorts off, and jumps on top of me all in about half a second. She pulled my pants off ok, but she just straight ripped my underwear off of me. I thought she was gonna kill me or soemthing, for the amount of force in her movements and the anger in her face. We fucked like rabbits on speed for like 2 hours, the pace was insane. When it was all over, we took a shower and went to sleep- that was about 3am. We both woke up the next day around 6pm. We were both sore for days, and we were 2-3 times a day fuckers to start with, so sex usually just didn't do that. Certainly the most violent thrusting sex i've ever had before or since, and almost the best sex, period. After that, the truly nasty arguments stopped happening, because we realized how terrible for the relationship it was. Great thread.

Haven't you ever been in the mood to either fuck or fight. I'm in that mood almost every day.


To tell the truth... It's stylized movie violence that gets me hot. Two drunks fghting in a bar is not sexy.

But then again, I'm not a female and it's typically females who are those who sometimes like this kind of thing. Certain kinds of females that is.

As War Wagon mentioned above, I don't think it's the violence per se, but the exhibition of strength that is what is deemed attractive. It's natural, after all, for females of any species to be attracted to a stronger, "alpha male" type that can defend her and her young.

So, human conciousness has allowed us to control, if not master, most of our baser "reptilian" urges. But they do surface from time to time...

Violence is great to watch, and definately sparks something from within myself.

Violence is stupid, not sexy. I roll my eyes in disgust when I see people fighting.

I'd get more turned on when I'd be with my bf and we'd get into a street race (back when his car was, well, not what it is today.. Love ya honey! :icare:), whether we won or not, than I would when I'd see my ex ( a few back) get into a fight to 'defend' whatever stupid thing it was at the time. But then again, maybe fast cars just do something for me.... :love:

I have to agree with Rogue on this one... we are so conditioned to except extreme violence as the "norm" these days that it gets infused into everything we do.

Sex... while powerful... intense... and animalistic at times... is for me... in it's true essence... rooted in love... it is not destructive or harmful... as is violence at it's very root.

This is not unusual. Soldiers always got more action when there was a war on. Come to think of it, I hear they get more action. There is something about violence that appeals to something deep within us. I can't say seeing my wife in a fight would make me more horny though :)

Maybe because I was ususally on the losing end, I never got sexually aroused after a fight, or even watching. The girls I knew, would stay away from the action, and didn't want anything to do with it. Well, once after a fight, that was unprovoked, and I got my butt whipped, my friends and I went to a party, and the girls wanted to help me out (wink wink). So maybe there is something to it!

Im a boxer and tournament martial artists and even women that claim to hate violence get all hot and bothered after they watch you completely outclass an opponent. Ive turned 3 women into boxing fans who all claimed to hate the sport before giving it a chance.

Seeing two drunk dudes in a bar going at each other is both silly and boring. Now, put two scantilly clad....ah, nekkid women in a mud ring and let them tear each other apart. Now THAT is sexy!

Couldn't say it better myself. If you're fighting or what's right it doesn't matter if you win or lose you get an emotional high for fighting what you believe in. Even in regulated competition I get it (postgame of course). It is a way to reassure yourself, when you feel sexy others are naturally attracted.

Correct again, people who fight or the wronge reasons or just because they are drunk are just retards.

I love violence in almost all of its forms, but only rarely does it bring about feelings of lust inside me. I love food as well, and enjoying a wonderful bowl of soup doesn't set my juices to flowing, either.

The only reason I can see violence being a turn on is if I'm attracted to the person who is in an honorable fight - either defending someone who is less able, or breaking up a rediculous fight.

It can be a turn on SIMPLY by the fact that it gets the adrenaline pumping and there are always intense emotions associated with a situation like that.

To my mind, violence is sometimes necessary.
Sex is sexy.
Last time I checked the dictionary they were two different things.
I prefer it that way.
I suppose life could be lived as an undifferentiated emotional continuum but I prefer to keep my categories separate.
