Do you still think farting is funny?
I do especially when the least likely of people of rip a loud juicy one or if I rip one myself in a public place. Other than that, farting doesn't really phase me anymore. What about you?
Farting is only funny when someone whom you wouldn't think would do it, does it. Or when im tickling my brother and he lets fluffy out of the cage. But usually no, because I work with tradesmen, and they just let rip whenever necessary, even in front of customers!

They are timelessly funny to young old alike and one of the last bastions of comedy. Fart sound affects are still the mainstay of many radio comedians. One of my favorite routines on the Howard Stern show was when each cast member left the room and (somehow) farted, and it was recorded. Later they tried to guess not only who farted, but what they had to eat. Hilarious. Besides, they're like snowflakes each one is unique. In addition, I must admit, that I have a fairly sizable collection of my OWN farts on file on my computer, compliments of my trusty "fartcorder".So...HELL YEAH, I still think farts are funny!
(Feeling like I know a little too much about this topic). |
I don't see what's so funny about it..
As an addendum...it is pretty much a man thing, most women fail to see the humor...and of course THEY don't fart.
Nah, I am starting to think about the fact that I am inhaling fumes that just expelled from someone else's ass.
It really is quite disgusting. |
mrsandman, now there's a guy who knows his gas!
Flatulance is quite amusing. Of course, I have an 8 and a 5 yo so it's a laugh a minute around our house. You know, pull my finger and all that. But when you look at it like Grondar, 'someone else's ass fumes', hey wait a minute, that's pretty funny too! |

yep - so does my wife. She just doesn't know it is funny.......
i can't stand all things to do with this topic.
Dogs farting. Now that's funny.
The look on my pup's face, as she jumps up and stares at the floor where her butt was, is priceless. Farts are generally funny in our house. At home growing up, they were seldom heard. But my wife comes from a long line of humorous, down to earth, Ockers. She throughly enjoys them. |
I think that I've out growen the humor of the fart.
No, and as far as I can recall I've never thought it was funny.
when just sitting around its not funny, its only funny when you are at a very public place, and no one is expecting it, then its funny
Can't beat a boring sermon at church for the humor potential of a fart. Plus, you get the double whammie of the 'sitting in your own pew' joke.
this is one thing most males find hilarious that I always found to be _stupid_. not funny..... ever. it's dumb.
Sometimes it can be funny, like if it's someone who you wouldn't expect it from, or if it's in a funny situation. One of my friends let one rip in the dining hall the other day, and it vibrated the bench we were sitting on. That cracked us all up, because she's a pretty small person.
It's not funny if you're sitting in a crowded car (8 people in a 5 person car) and the person sitting on you lap lets one rip. That's NOT funny... |
i think it is funny when it is absolutly silent and someone rips a good one.
It's funny.. until you think about it and realize you're sniffing micro-particles coming from someone's shit-hole.
I don't often laugh at fart jokes on TV or movies, but it can be very funny in certain situations.
When I was about 13, my brother and I would go to the library (where it's super quiet all day) to get books. We used to hang out at the library and just read for a few hours some days. He would motion to me that he had one building up, and we would seperate by a few aisles. I'd listen carefully for it, and watch everyone's faces around me and try not to laugh my ass off. Then when he came back to meet me, we'd swap stories and laugh some more. |
Farting is very funny.
Do I think that farts are funny......
http://www.boomspeed.com/sixate/fart.gif http://www.boomspeed.com/sixate/rofl.gif Did that answer your question? |
Farting will always be funny. It's timeless, like apple pie and Dick Clark.
I think farting is great. It's been funny for thousands of years, there are references to in all sorts of early literature. I am a proud farter.
Fart = funny.
I think it depends, but yeah mostly funny. Especially when its embarrassing. :)
Me dropping a ripping deuce - funny. My wife doing it, hilarious. We crack each other up with beefs.
I think that the fart itself as much as the word "fart" is hillarious. I don't like it so much though if its an incredibly stinky one that I can't get away from!
doorknob!
In film, no. Real life, yes, sometimes.
Then there are the more complex situations of some rippers. There are certain people you've firmly established you can fart in front of. These people, PEOPLE A, if you will, have grown accustomed to the sounds and smell associated with your farts. The complexities arise when a People A lets out a juicy one, and you want to comment, but you will break the silent bond that you've established, and therefor put every crack pop and hiss out of your rectum up for scrutiny. The only way out is for the other person to crack a joke. So...um....yes? |
It all depends on the situation. When my 3 y/o rips 'em uncontroliby while running or being tickled, it's funny. But when the guy sitting in the booth behind me while I'm eating, it's not so funny.
yyyeeaah farting is funny. Especially during a test and everyone's quiet and out rips one. hauhuhuh
I have never found farting funny. Someone explain the humour?
i think it's sick
Only when I the one doing it
I've said it once and I'll say it again, there is nothing funnier than a well placed fart.
It can be midly amusing in some situations, and immensly amusing in others, but normally, it just smells.
There are two theories of humor to which I subscribe. Robert A Heinlein wrote about humor in "Stranger in a Strange Land." He proposed that all humor was based on someone's pain. I think this applies to all but the lowly pun, which is amusing, not funny. Isaac Asimov wrote a whole book about humor and he stated that it is the surprise of the punchline that defines the joke as funny. The punchline has to contain the unexpected.
When you are a young child, any fart is "funny" in that it seems to entertain you because it is "forbidden." Now picture yourself in church as an adult. The minister is giving a sermon on respecting your spouse. He makes a poignant comment about how one should never do anything to embarass his or her spouse in public. As he finishes his sentence, his wife in the front pew, who is getting over a mild GI illness, fails to hold in a tremedous fart that reverbates off the wooden seat. Now that is funny, because you are not expecting it and the preacher and his wife are both mortified. |
