Strip Clubs
 

Hello all!

My friend is turning 18 this month, and he says he wants to go to a strip club. I can’t say I disagree :D

So here is what I would like to know… how old do you have to be to go to a strip club? Is it 18 or 21? Also, if the age is 18, can anyone recommend any good clubs here in the Bay Area of California no further than 30 to 45 minutes from San Francisco?

Unfortunately my friend, it's 21 for United States. Good ole Canada has it at 18! :D:D:D:D:D

I don't know about Cali but here in Florida it's 18 in most places but 21 to drink of course.

Some clubs are 18 and some are 21. The 18 ones usually don't have alcohol (even if you are 21), but are completely nude. The 21 clubs are just topless in ca I think.

No its not, I know plenty of places that are 18. You cant drink, but thats another story.

Canadian strip clubs rock. This comes from a man who went to his first strip club in Canada, got picked up by a gorgeous stripper in Ottawa on Canada Day and still treasures the memories.

Australia strip clubs tend to be fully of crack-whores. Some are OK. You also get full-sex shows (as long as the police don't raid the place). Most of them are also (legal) brothels.

US strip clubs, on the other hand, suck choads.

stingc is right. 18 ones dont serve alcohol. but the 21 ones are waaaaaaaaaay better.

i feel bad for the people in california, i heard that they have to be at least 6 feet away from a stripper at the clubs. * tsk tsk tsk * worst lap dance......EVER!!!

I don't have much experience with stripclubs, but here are my 2 cents. Hmm... I'm not sure if they let in minors, but <a href="http://www.sanfrancisco-strip-clubs.com/strip_club_listings.asp?clubid=1074&NavStateCode=CA&NavCityID=108" target="_blank">centerfolds</a> (on broadway, sf) is pretty good. Wherever you go avoid <a href="http://www.sanfrancisco-strip-clubs.com/strip_club_listings.asp?clubid=1077&NavStateCode=CA&NavCityID=108" target="_blank">Garden of Eden</a> (on broadway, sf) they have the ugliest dancers I've seen. It's a gross place, really dirty, icky feeling to it, unless your friend wants to stick his tongue in one of the strippers on stage, then just have him sit up front, tip and she might push his face into her crotch. I'm pretty sure they will also have sex with you for a fee, though I've never tried it.

In California, when they serve alcohol it can only (legally) be topless, not full nude so get drunk before you go. And that 6 feet thing was only a regulation passed in LA, it was also repealed. So lap dances are still legal.

I live in a city that borders the US and let's just say, this place is famous for being a drinking city and it's strip clubs :)

I have only been to one strip club, and it was in a small town closer to where I was living. A friend of mine suggested we go after class the one day as I was driving him home. I've been to this bar many times, but the strip club part is in another section of the building. I was glad I never ventured down there before. It was a small shitty room and the place was nasty. Needless to say I never went back there and have never gone to another strip club since.

EDIT: Oh! It might be handy to say when we plan to go since it seems shows vary. We are planning to go on December 19th.

Honostly, that is your best route. From what I hear, all the clubs around here that are 18 and up, suck/

I can't believe I forgot about Crazyhorse. I used to be friends with the contractor who built their stage. You can't go wrong with Crazyhorse, also Centerfolds is 18 and up. One thing about centerfolds and crazyhorse, they are strickly legit, so if you are looking for whores, go elsewhere.

Pretty much any place that advertises in CA as being full nude = no alcohol = 18+. Anyplace that says topless...well, if all your getting is topless then you damn well better be drunk. In which case, its 21+. Pretty much cant go wrong with full nude joints, you could always call them and ask just to make sure. Ask around at school, work, wherever and find out where the clean places are. It'll cost ya a little more than a run down dump, but will be worth it. Fortunately i had a hook-up, so i never had to pay to get in to any of the places in one of the major chains down here.

Yeah, I went to Crazy Horse for my friend's 18th birthday too. We all had a good time except for one of my friends due to an.....incident.

dont know about where you live, but the 18 year old ones serve 0 alcohol and go full nude here in ohio, however most of the women have seen waaay better days and are some of the worst looking ones around, im talking overweight possibly preggo and track marks (from shooting up drugs) etc etc etc

so while you get to see everything it is probably more than you would care to see.

so get together and hit up a joint that serves alcohol unless your friend cannot go because of age and set yourself a budget do not use the ATM inside these places i have seen fees to use the machine as high as 20 bucks and dont spend more than you take. also remember no matter how she acts dont fall in love they just are trying to make a buck it is their job

I know in Ohio they started having some full nude strip clubs along with alcohol sort of working around the law by having the bar in another section of the building but you could still see the strippers.. almost every strip club I have ever seen is 18+ even the ones with alcohol just proof you.

in OR, we get full nude + alcohol for the 21- up crowd, most charge covers. the 18 + (juice bars) charge covers, have full nude, and usually charge an arm for a soda or water, and you must have one in front of you while you are there

Go to Quebec. The drinking age is 18. There are hundreds of strip bars in Montreal.

Ah, Windsor. My first exposure to a strip club. What an excellent time!

The no alcohol, totally nude and topless with drinks seems to be the norm, even here in Colorado. My experience with all nude clubs is similar to that of Montana's. The women with hot bods (and a bit more class) don't like to take it all off and will dance at the topless only clubs. If you go to an all nude club, expect a lot more skanks. Personally, I'd rather see a beautiful woman in a G-string and use my imagination than some ugly broad with stretch marks showing it all.

Watch out for the "Bring your own beer" clubs. Some of those places are nasty....

Jumbos clown room used to be good in LA its all cheeetahs now apparently, jumbos used to have fire breathing strippers etc, i went once to see all that and it was pretty dull.

Thanks for the replies, but unfortunately, I’m not in “charge” in searching out a strip joint. Ah well :( But I think I’ll recommend Crazyhorse.

Can anyone recommend the proper attire, and behavior for strip clubs? I was thinking about just wearing my regular street/school clothes and going in with a “gentlemanly” attitude. You know, thank you ma’am, stuff like that. Also, how much money should I bring? I was thinking $ 65. An older friend (19) who has gone before says to get one, and only one lap dance. So admission is about $ 20 to $ 35, lap dances typically cost around $ 25 (from what I’ve read on websites), and well, dollar bills for the strippers (and perhaps a 10 dollar bill for my fave stripper).

As long as they do not serve booze you only have to be 18. Your tipical club will charge $15 - $20 for a topless lap dance or couch dance full nude will usually be $40. In SF back in the70s and 80s the Mitchell Bros. Ofarrell Theater was an unbilivable place. FULL CONTACT!!! Very cheap. Now days you can't bring enough money to any of the clubs around here ( Southern Calif.) But the quality of the women is extremly high.

If you're in Detroit, why not just make a run for the border to Winsor? Your money'll go a lot farther with the exchange rate, you'll get the booze, and the full nudity.

(edit : I forgot, drinking age in Ontario is 19)

As far as I know, the Deja Vu franchises (well, the one in Seattle anyway) is 18+. I can't speak for all the franchises, as I've heard some of them are pretty nasty, but the one on 1st and Pike in Seattle is pretty top notch..

Whenever I went with all of my friends this summer (after the last of us had turned 18), we were thoroughly disappointed. This girls were average, it was expensive ($20 covercharge + tips... my friend spent $215 on a *special* lapdance), and I felt extremely gross inside that place.

It's something that every young man should experience though.

When my friend turned 18, he also went to a strip club. But since he was too young to buy alcoholic beverages, he bought........
