Holiday Season 2003 *What are you looking forward to?*
The holiday lights and colder weather got me thinking about this coming winter season, and so I quickly started wondering what you all were wanting or anticipating (material gifts, family time, etc...).
As for myself, I'd like to spend some quality time with my dad and my relatives on his side of the family (my mom and dad are separated). I also wouldn't mind some gift cards from some clothing stores and a PC game (Black and White, Rainbow 6 III, or Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) or something. I'm usually not too greedy, but I enjoy both giving and receiving (we "celebrate" Christmas). What about you guys? |

Personally, I am looking forward to the Christmas period being over. I never really enjoy it when I can't afford it.
Before Christmas though, I'm spending a few days in Queenstown and hopefully doing a bit of bungy jumping, so I'm looking forward to that. |

I'm looking forward to making Christmas dinner.
I'm looking forward to cracking open a few expensive bottles of wine and a pair of Champagne magnums I've been saving. I'm looking forward to the looks the faces of my in-laws (I live in Australia, far from the rest of my family) as they open their presents. I'm looking forward to 3 weeks holiday in New Zealand straight after Christmas. Mr Mephisto |

I am looking forward to...
*Putting my favourite ornament on the Christmas tree *Making peanut butter fudge to give out to all my friends *Going home for a while...things are MUCH simpler in a town with a population of 13,000. *Singing in church. I don't normally go to church, but I do go at Advent because I love Christmas carols. Go figure. I am not looking forward to... *My parents and my brother fighting *Forced conversation with my extended family *The day after Christmas. It's always seemed sad to me...

I do love this time of year, so here goes...
*I look forward to my office being closed for a week and a half (I don't have to take vacation this year). *I look forward to the looks on my grandchildren's faces on Christmas morning (we get them all at our house). *I look forward to the looks on my children's faces as they watch their children on Christmas morning (hopefully we'll remember to take pictures). *I look forward to my granddaughter's second birthday on the 28th (at least her mother doesn't have to work that day). *I look forward to our New Year's party (that's when we really get together with friends and celebrate the year). There are many material things that I would like to get. But if I don't get them, it's no big deal. The stuff above is more important to me.

As I'm growing up, I notice that I remember the times that I've had, not necessarily what I got at Christmas (or any other event). Sure, it's fun to get more posessions, but the memories mean more to me in my experiences so far. |

I'm looking forward to my girlfriend's birthday on the 13th, but I still need to get some cash and buy her something.
I'm looking forward to her having time off so that we can spend time together. I'm looking forward to the visit from a good friend that we're supposed to get in early January. Maybe I'll get a sound card. I really don't care about the rest and, in fact, I'm finding the thought of the holidays depressing right now. If I give you my address, will you send me a bright, shiny jar full of cow's blood and make my holiday season all better? |

I'm looking forward to spending time with my grandmother. This is going to be the first christmas without my grandfather, and she's been living alone since he died.
Also, I'm looking forward to seeing my girlfriend. She lives out of state so I haven't seen her since August 4th.

Grandma always gives me something special for Christmas. It's the same thing every year, and I swear, every year I enjoy it more than the last. Grandma is retired and doesn't have much money, so she gives of herself.
Boy that lady can give a great blowjob.

I'm looking forward to the double time and a half I'll be earning for working 10 hour shifts on christmas day and boxing day. My family wasn't planning on doing much this year anyways.
I'm really looking forward to New Year's Eve though. This'll only be the second year since 1995 that I won't be working past midnight, and I don't even have to work the next morning. |
