Sounds like fun, and I agree with you. Material 'things' are just that; things. In fact, it reminds of the quote from "Fight Club": 'We work at jobs we hate for shit we don't need.'
As I'm growing up, I notice that I remember the
times that I've had, not necessarily
what I got at Christmas (or any other event). Sure, it's fun to get more posessions, but the memories mean more to me in my experiences so far.
