Short of that, I'll be happy with something shiny. |

December 26, 2003. I dislike the holidays. It's way too stressful trying to pick the perfect gift for everyone.

I think I may want to add an Xbox to my Christmas gift-whoring, but I have to make up my mind soon!
|
Personally, I'm looking forward to the snow. I don't drive much, but I just love the way it looks when the neighborhood is covered in a white blanket. I'm also looking forward to the stress and spending money. But truthfully, i'm looking forward to my younger cousin's faces as they open their gifts christmas morning.

I'm looking forward to giving my dad his christmas present: 24 hours of help putting his boat back together. Nothing like being upside down and getting a head rush, and catching up with dad.
|
Being done with finals, and getting to spend some quality time with the girlfriend, as well as major headway with the new racecar. Heck, I just want this Wednesday to be over (my last final)
|
Four days off work and I'm going to spend most of it fishing with friends from high school (class of '76). Christmas sux unless yer a kid.

I decided some years ago that the memories that brought me JOY, were too important to let go of. The Holiday season is what you make it. So... with that said... these are but a few of the things I look forward too... - Eating my fill on Thanksgiving day. - Eating my fill of left-overs on Thanksgiving day NIGHT. :) - Baking Christmas cookies and eating more dough than actual cookies made. - Decorating the Tree. - Singing Christmas songs at the top of my lungs while my children look on in horror. - Shopping and finding the PERFECT gift for someone special. - Curling up in front of a blazing fire. - Sitting quietly in the dark after everyone has gone to bed, watching the sparlking lights of the Tree. - Watching "A Christmas Carol" on Christmas eve. - The smell of a fresh Christmas tree. - My Dad's pecan pie. - My Mom's cooking. - Watching my children's faces on Christmas morning. - Walking at night when the snow is falling. *smiling*... I could go on and on... |
