It's mind over matter. We've created such strict guidlines mentally, that our body just adheres to them.

A great example of this is how we all are born with the ability to breath underwater. Well, we lose that ability a short period after birth. But theoretically, if we were to leave the newborn in water, it would adapt, since it has the ability. But if we take a person who is older, it's almost impossible to adapt. Its because we have these mental limits.
I think we can break them though.

Sorry, doesn't add up. He claims this hole in his palete keeps him alive. The hole did not disappear when he went into the hospital. So either we take his story at face value (I'm amazing because I can survive without food and water) in which case my argument stands, or we take your explanation at face value (That cave is amazing because it enables this guy to survive without food and water) in which case we should ignore this joker and start investigating the cave.

A hole in his palate that allows water droplets to collect and absorb. Which is going to have a more humid atmosphere: a cave, or a hostpital room? His story, if true, would be linked to how much moisture is in the air around him, unless I read the story wrong.

I say BS - that's my professional opinion.
None of the articles mention his body temperature. If he's anything over room temperature then his body is producing heat from metabolic activity. If his body is metabolically active (which is not surprising because he's breathing and moving skeletal muscle) then there should be raw material to metabolize as fuel - usually that's food, water and air. In the absence of one or more the body will catabolize fat stores and protein from muscle tissue ... which is called starvation. I say it's BS.

If this guy can sustain himself without food or water I say we hook him up to a treadmill so he can power up a whole village so the kids can play XBox for several years.

The above statement is suspect. A hole in the palate is called a cleft palate if it's from birth. An aquired hole would be from a traumatic injury at some point. But a self-respecting physician wouldn't be running around calling it an "abnormal phenomenon."

As someone said before India is up to its armpits in fake holymen. Its something of a cottage industry.

Maybe he "Consumes" food or sustinence of some kind, but does not consider it eating? Yes, that is a lot of communal wafers and grape juice, but could a priest last longer than us if he was taking communion 6 times a day? He would not consider that eating, of course. I'll second the comment--where are you getting this? Even if there weren't the Turgor pressure issue (let's say the water contains stuff to make it hypotonic), water saturated with oxygen still contains on the order of a few parts per million O2, whereas the atmosphere has about 20% O2. What you're saying is that humans are born with the ability to live with just the smallest quantities of oxygen.

We might also say that, despite millions of people smoking tobacco every day, the vast majority don't die from it.
