I have horrible procrastination problems... to the point where i'll put something off until it ends up fucking me.... and forgetting after i put it off that i haven't yet done it and still need to... i need to work on that... i think it's part lazy, and part forgetfull.

yeah part lazy and part forgetful for sure.

sometimes i can't think past my forehead :D

but procrastination works for me. i LIKE that deadline there and the pressure of getting it done before the due date. some of my best works or papers have been a result of procrastinating.

i have a 10 page one due on monday, just copy/paste off the internet and change the hard words

I usually start an assignment a day or two before it's due. At that time, I am completely confident that I can finish in time. But then, the assignment always turns out to be much harder than I anticipated and I don't finish, so I rationalize that it was only worth X amount of my grade and that I can still get a good grade if I do well on the final. But that never happens.

I used to procrastinate all the time in high school. Staring at the clock when I have some project to do, trying to rationalize not getting off my lazy ass and getting it done. It's 8 o'clock I can wait till 10, oops it's 10, oh well I can wait till 12, ugh its 12 i'm tired I can do it in the morning.

I've noticed reasonably that cartoons are directly proportional to my level of procrastination. If an old-school cartoon (i.e transformers, gargoyles, or thundercats,) there just isn't going to be work getting done.

Procrastinating as I write this message instead of the 6 page Philosophy paper I'm supposed to write.

Generally, I get most of my work done the day before it's due, which is actually about 20 hours. Ha no worries then. Lots of time!

Drider_it 11-24-2003 05:31 PM

well, lets see.

I put off cleaning.
I put off writing to friends and family (even though tis a damn email)
I find ways outta work on days i feel ucky or just play down
I get bored with a new program or game and wont finish it.
I could get out and hang out with friends.. nah..

man is this topic another word for depression?
