My own person -- his by choice

My ex took out 11 credit cards in our name without telling me. He maxed them out to the tune of $85,000. That was the pits!

Now I have 1 card that I owe too much on -- but will have paid off within a year. I prefer the pay each month system; but divorce and moving home cost that "emergency" money. I'm glad I had it when I needed it most.

I would never get a credit card - to tempting to max it out. A debit card, however, is a nother deal. I like it cause if you waste all your money, you know, and you still shop online

I have 4 cards, and the best thing about it is that my parents pay all of them. I'm such a fucking spoiled brat.

You know you're jealous. I'm gonna have a really hard time growing up.

i have one card.
and thats one card too many.
i originally got as a safety when i was in Africa.
i should have cut it up when i touched down in Sydney after the holiday.

but, well, i didnīt and now iīm struggling to save for Japan and Malta, and to pay off that debt at the same time.

they are truly dangerous little pieces of plastic.
and the banks and agencies that are dispensing them are just evil. i mean, i remember getting credit card ads handed to me when i was back in school.
how irresponsible is a company or bank that is trying to hook schoolchildren into credit card debts that they KNOW the kids wonīt be able to pay for.

if i had my time again, i wouldnīt have gotten that card.

I understand your situation as I went through a time where I was living on credit too, but I would never even consider just not paying them off, and I certainly wouldn't whine about it being unreasonable that I'm expected to do so.
I make payments but they won't close it so no more charges can be made. They won't close it so the interest rate is locked in. I cannot pay it ALL off in full because I don't have that kind of money. I am doing what I can but they penalize me for everything. I am not asking for something unreasonable and our other credit card with Chase worked with us. NOT Capital One. I'm not whining that I have to pay. I'm whining that they are making it very difficult to pay the whole balance off.
