Stupid loves the hairdryer, or anything that generates heat. When she lived in the main house she's be sitting on the toilet seat waiting for my mom and sister to get out of the shower and use the hairdryer so they could blow her with some hot air. hehe.

Is there anything that you do that drives your pet (cat, dog, iguana or chinchillla) crazy?

Damn straight. When they stare at you you're supposed to scare the fuck out of them so they run out of the room at mach 5.

I had a cat that would stare at me for hours (literally hours, just watching me play on the computer, do homework or watch tv. just stared the entire time). It never really bothered me very much, but I'd scare her anyways because I'm mean.

Anyways, vacuum cleaner always works, but I prefer to sneak up on my animals while they're eating and scream at them. I had a dog once that would sneak over to the catfood bowl and start eating out of it like I didn't know what she was up to, she knows it's not for her because we yell at her every time we catch her. So anyways she's doing this one night and must not have seen me on the patio, I see it though and sneak up on her and scream at her when I'm like a foot away from where she's eating. Dog jumps up a good 1-2 feet, hits the ground and starts yelping and running away. I almost laughed myself into a coma, but then I noticed I literally scared the piss out of her and had to clean it up.

They're pissed off for an hour or so but I'm buddies with all of my animals.

just a little post note.

when i woke up the next morning I couldn't find my glasses.

still can't

I'm now forced to use my contact lenses.

I know THAT THIS CAT STOLE MY GLASSES but i can't prove it.

Cats also hate drapes. Especially if they are closed drapes. In front of an open sliding glass door. And you have a laser pointer.

My cat still avoids those drapes.

One of my cats is named Maddy, but I call it Meow Mix and it really doesn't respond well to it.It climbs on me then tries to give me a head butt. Our other Cat, named Iz, makes terradactyl noises when the doorbell rings...it has gotten better lately but I'm not sure why. Both of the Cats go insane for laser pointers, the could be totally asleep and justcatch a glance of that thing and bounce off the walls!

Our two cats are pretty odd themselves. Our older cat is afraid of any sort of bad weather. The minute he hears thunder he slinks his way into the bathroom, opens the cupboard, and hides in there until the storm has blown over. This same cat always has to be in the same room as I am when I'm home. Our other cat is mainly just lazy, but every now and then he'll just randomly wander around the apartment meowing at the walls, and trying to climb up them. Also, he has this strange thing that if someone is sitting on the floor, he has to be on the floor with them. He'll only get up on the furniture if everyone in the room is also sitting on furniture. Odd kids they are.

That's nothing, why do dogs hate those novelty train whistles?

TWISTEDBADGER 10-29-2003 06:24 AM

It's a genetic memory thing. In prehistoric time, the ancient dogasaurus was preyed upon by the trainwhistleasaurus. And to this day.........

lazer pointer

When I had my cat he hated the vacum... He loved paper grocery bags & wrapping paper, but the bags the most.

We loved to play with him using a flashnight he would climb all over the wall and go all over trying to catch the light on the floor/wall.

My cat goes crazy an hour or so before a big storm. Sometimes even before the sky starts to turn green. I can tell when the storm is going to be bad because she'll literally climb the screens sometimes and is running all over, whining, and just plain bonkers. I'm sure that normal for a lot of pets but she's more nutso than I've seen animals get BEFORE the storm. Then once the storm starts she's cool. Lightening doesn't bother her even. I'm sure it's the air pressure change. Catrina my personal barometer.

Every wednesday at 10:00 when the tornado siren (which is in my yard) goes off my dog will go crazy and won't stop howling until the siren stops. Also, she kows where that laser pointer is hidden.

My cat sleeps on my bed and is very protective of me. I had a roommate who was scared of my cat because he'd hiss and growl and chase after him when he stepped into my room.

At this juncture the aforementioned cat is gone

I eventually found my glasses...they were under something!

against my own discretion I found another cat.

she is not a thief.
