I dont think anyone could really come up with an accurate estimation, but how many masturbations do you think take place on this planet in a 24 hour span? Thats right a full day.

A few billion. There would be no way to estimate it very close, because it could vary by day.

There are 6.6 billion people in the world. I'd say, on average, one per person per day is a pretty good starting point.

The question, of course, is whether there are 24 prudes out there to offset Psivage.... :rolleyes:

I'd say we could put it at a quarter of the men, once per day, so a half session per day per man, which is .25(.5)x 6x10^9 is 7.5x10^8 or 750 million. People who are married don't jerk off often, very few do it 3x per day or more, very few over 55 or 60, very few under 10. Because of the baby boom and population growth we can imagine that both of our "no jerk off" categories are larger than average, which I would say leaves it at a quarter.

Then again, we've got china and india with half the world population among them--and who knows how much they do it over there. Probably less. If we say that they do it on average half as much as we do (pulled that outta my ass) then we'd take a quarter off the 750 million, leaving 562.5 million. That's better I'd say.

I'm studying for case interviews for consulting firms.. go figure. I'd love to get this as a case.

First off I cant imagine anyone beating off 24 times a day every day......... so someone is full of....errr lies. I would guess in the 600 million range per day... possibly up to 1 billion.

figuring out the # of orgasms may be more appropriate, since it's difficult to say if scratching yourself at work counts.

it may be instructive to note that the folks at the church of euthanasia have a counter that shows the human population to be increasing by about 2 every second. Let's assume this means about 3 people are born every second, since probably 1 person is dying a second (probably more, but what the hey). Every person born represents, on average, at least one orgasm on the male part, at least! Therefore, the # of male orgasms that lead to conception is 3 a second.

Finally, let's assume that each male orgasm leads to about a teaspoon of semen being created. Multiplying 3 orgasms a second, 3 teaspoons per orgasm yields about:

777,000 GALLONS OF SEMEN that leads to conception per day!!

If you want to know the total amount of spooge created per day, multiply this number by a factor of 10,000 or so. It's well past the billions of gallons.

Hmmm lets see - 6 billion people total, about half of who are probably of wankable age. About half of that get off one way or the other daily, and half of that do it manually. So - 750 million?
