When a four-year-old boy called Kalien met Michael Jackson, he just didn't know what to make of him.

The child shrank back in the arms of his grandfather, the singer's physician Dr Allan Metzger. And he wasn't alone in his astonishment.

The 45-year-old singer's complexion drew gasps at the charity event in Beverly Hills. For he was whiter than the white partygoers.

Jackson insists his appearance is due to the rare skin disorder vitiligo.

An onlooker said: 'It looked as if he'd dunked his face in a bowl of talcum powder.

But his face actually is that pale. He looks positively scary - like a ghost.

'It's hard to believe Michael Jackson used to be a black man. Now he looks like a very odd white woman.'

I saw on a documentary that the reason hes like that is beacuse he never got to be a child when he was younger. He has been a star from a really young age, and his father pushed him too hard, and blah blah blah...... What a load of crap. First of all hes got more money than the law allows. What about the children growing up in the streets without parents, or if they are lucky mabey there dad slings enough crack or there mother can sell her ass enough to buy food. Michael Jackson is a child molesting freak and he makes me sick to my stomach.

The reason they don't place him in a mental hospital is cause they don't want to scare all the patients. Could you imagine him in a white room? All he would have to do to excape is remove his cloths and cut his hair off.

We've all seen what the real version of that skin disease does: blotchy white spots that dont blend well with the surrounding tissue. Michael: sorry, no. That's not what's going on and we all know. The mention of the mental hospital above is probably closer to what he needs more than anything else.

I believe the case was that he started developing the blotchy white spots and was unable to cover them up so he took the drastic measure and underwent surgery that would bleach his melanin and pigmentation so he's that color all over and you can't see the spots anymore but we all know whats happened since then. The nose is probably the worst thing. I remember seeing this picture of Michael Jackson right next to the picture of that chick ape in the latest Planet of The Apes flick with Mark Wahlberg and he looked exactly like her it was hilarious and sad at the same time. Some think it's because he didn't want to be black...I dunno if thats true though.

well, the difference between him and someone who's grown up on the street without parents is that he's got the money to live in his fantasy world. and after long enough in it, it's really possible that he doesn't realize the difference between the fantasy he lives in and the reality we live in.

I don't quite understand why he went and bleached his skin. He could have gone the other way and used something like a self tanner - the kind that dye your skin. They've really developed that stuff and it looks good. Or even with the money he's got he could airbrush. Anything like that would look better than being as pale white as a ghost.

If it truely is the disease he says it is I do feel sorry for him. If not? Then He's a ridiculous clown. I usually don't pay much attention to the news about him.
