PrOn and STDs
How do so many porn stars do it without condoms? Do they get regular checkups or don't give a fuck? I watched Hustler's Luckiest Man in the World video last night and was amazed how lucky that guy was and how many potential STDs he might have. What's the dilly?

They are required to get tested monthy for STDs, but many of them still have little obscure ones.

young ones shouldnt be watching porn, it's not everyone's fault to raise some fuckwit's kids.
I know a lot of porn actors and actresses have to provide their monthly test results before they shoot. Certain production companies want weekly tests before they hire someone on. |

It's one of the hazards of having a job where you make $5,000 for a couple hours' "work." I understand that everyone should practice safe sex, and wouldn't blame the industry at all if they went "condom-only," but, like I said - I won't watch it if there's a hint of latex. That's just the way I am - and - obviously - so are a lot of other people. p.s. - Don't expect an industry that considers a facial the end of a lovemaking session to be a role model for the younguns.

There are a few unions out there: adult performers can join. There is a newly formed Adult Performer Union, and there is also an international sex workers union. A lot of production companies are strictly non union though. Contrary to what you all might think a typical movie shoot can last 12-14 hours and take several days to complete. It is a business, and as fun as it may sound to get paid to have sex for a living.. a lot of "nonsexy" factoprs come into play. Mostly fatigue, body image issues, being able to perform exactly the same way for hours on end consistently, and the ability to work well with others despite how you may feel about them. Im not in the adult industry, but i researched it for a few years for various courses in school, and have interviewed Asia Carerra and it does not seem like a fun job to have.

They use a sort of greasy foam to insulate from infection. It's not foolproof, so the ones who go that route get paid extra. Jameson only works with people she trusts and people who are constantly tested. The number of people on that list is actually relatively small, and it's usually a sign of dangerous extra-curricular activities, after around 1985.
