There’s always money to be made in being trivally risqué (and virtually mooning mom and dad).

The products are the first global fragrances for United Kingdom-based apparel company French Connection Group, which sells apparel and other goods under the acronym brand FCUK (for French Connection U.K.) and also operates some stores of its own. A $10 million marketing campaign started this week, built on the theme: “Scent to bed.” Included are print ads in “Maxim” and “Teen People” among other magazines.

The company hopes the brand name and suggestive imagery in the campaign will get the attention of teens already jaded by a heavy dose of sexually oriented messages in music videos and video games. The approach has been effective with its apparel lines.

“Whether it shocks you or amuses you, FCUK certainly makes the consumer think,” says Andrea Hyde, president, French Connection Holdings.

Teen fragrance’s titillating name could create a stink

Given that many of Richard Desmond’s classier publications promote the activity so heavily, the Minx is bewildered to find the Daily Express coming over all coy about the sexual act. Wednesday’s edition carried a picture of the Lottery winner Callie Rogers in a T-shirt bearing the nonsensical logo: “Like a bunny”. The preceding word - FCUK (French Connection’s sleazy logo) - had been air-brushed out.

Hm, I hate the whole FCUK slogan thing.
Loads of people here wear t-shirts with:

fcuk on the beach
fcuk at work

Umbrellas with "fcuk rain" on them etc. etc.

It is so annoying, the joke was mildy amusing the first time I saw it, now it is so boring. I even made a t-shirt that, in the proper FCUK font, said "I can spell fuck". Hmmmm.

Maybe I'm just more puerile than you, but I still think it's brilliant.

GOOD clothes, too.

Its alright. Sex and Kids? No, lets just shelter them forever. Its part of growing up people. We try to stay civilized by subduing our hormones until we're at an appropriate age. Kids get married at fricking 13 everywhere else in the world.

So many people around my school wear FCUK stuff. its really not that great. people just wear it cus the word looks like fuck.

I'll stick to white shirts, jeans and common sense.

one of my friends has a t-shirt with that on there and i just thought it was stupid, cuz it was a black shirt with fcuk in little white letters and thats all, kinda boring if you ask me. But ya that did get my attention and make me click this thread.

stupid brand name, why dont people just get shirts that say FUCK, thats what they want people to think they have written there, I have a shirt that says "I'll Fucking Stab You!!!" and I wear it all the time...
