Are you Immune to Hangovers?
Man, talk about lucky hand I got dealt in life. I drank a lot at a party last night, like probably top 5 drunk I've ever been, and I once again tested the hangover-immunity that I seem to have.
I have NEVER had any symptoms of a hangover. The only thing I really notice is that the drunker I get, the earlier I wake up the next morning, which does kind of piss me off. Besides that, I have never had a skull-cracking headache or dizziness or dehydration or anything associated with hangovers. You could call me lucky I suppose. How are your hangovers? Are they so bad you get the dreaded "third-day" hangover? I've had friends with these. Bad news.

I would also ask, how old are you?
When I was 19 or so I could drink like a fish, put down a glass of water before bed, and wake up feeling like a million bucks. At 28 I find that it just doesn't work like that anymore.

Never had a hangover either, but I hedge my bets in my old age. I always drink at least a quart of water before I go to bed and I haven't had one yet.

In my younger days I developed this routine of a nice shower, two aspirin, and as much water as I could drink. I would wake up feeling better than usual! Skip that process and it would be hangover time.
Rarely drink anymore so I haven't tested the routine out for many years now. |

It's about the quality of the alcohol that you drink. If I get thrashed on Warsteiner, I don't get a hangover... But if I compare it to when I drink a bottle of cheap red wine... and I am in HELL.
Hang out with me sometime... I can get you to hangover. |

I almost always end up with a huge hangover. I never do anything like drink water or take a shower before I pass out though. The morning after I try to drink a lot of water and eat a little bit. Did I mention that I'm almost always drinking Heaven Hill Vodka?

Beer doesn't seem to bother me usually. I never have very much either. Wine depends very much on how much I have. If I get so totally drunk off my rocker that I can't walk then you can guarantee headache for 2 days. Otherwise I can have a couple glasses of wine and feel fine afterwards. Mike's Hard Lemondaid can give me a headache halfway through the first bottle though if I drink that fast. The other day I had some Captains Rum for the first time. Only one glass and I had a headache all day the next day. I rarely drink anything and never much at once so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
I'm surprised about you not getting dehydrated. You may be some dehydrated and just not realize it. Do you drink a lot of water through the day?

I been unable to find a pattern to my hangovers. I've come to the conclusion that they just hit me randomly. If I drink they exact same thing twice, I might get a hangover one of the days, but not the other. It's kind of a pain in the ass. Usually my hangovers aren't bad though. Just a mild headache. Once in a while, though, I get a real doozy.

Immune no.
But if I get home and eat something like a sandwich or some leftover pizza just to get something in my gut, and wash it down with a glass or two of water, I notice my body has little or no trouble working through any alcohol and I wake up pretty fresh. If I feel at all hungry when I get back and I go to sleep feeling drunk & hungry, I'll be pretty messed up in the morning Guess my body needs some fuel or it cracks down

Not really immune but I make sure to drink a glass of water while I take shots and then one per bear at the end of the night. And if I know I am going to drink I usualy drink a bunch of water during the day. Then right before bed I toss back two large glasses of water and asprin..... always seem to be fine in the morning after that But if I don't do that its 50/50 chance that I get a hang over it seems

I have never had a hangover, no matter how much I drank, or how much I mixed alcohol.
I think I was close to a hangover the night I was the most drunk in my life, but I only felt like crap because my friends called me at 8:00 am to go for breakfast when I had gone to sleep at 4:30 am. |

I have never experienced the effects of a hangover. I find that I can drink as much as I want without taking the ordinary preventive measures (drinking lots of water before and after, asprin, etc.).
Maybe it runs in the family. My dad used to be the beer chugging champion of his fraternity.

I get really mild hangovers. A bit of dehydration if I don't drink enough water before crashing, a very slight headache if I've had a really big night. If if have a headache at all, it's usually gone within about 1/2 an hour of getting up.

I haven't had one yet. If anything I wake up still drunk.
I finally had enough to vomit once. I don't need to do it again, but it was kind of a right of passage. Sort of a virginity for my throat.

never used to, only in the past 8months have i noticed hangovers getting worse and worse.
hell, i'd down a bottle of scotch whilist getting high, sleep for 2hrs and work a 9hr shift without too much trouble. now i drink 12 cans of beer, sleep 7hrs, and a 6hr shift kills me. though i've recently had the worst i've ever had weekend just passed. the whole 'i'm not touching tequila again' thing wore off saturday night, needless to say sunday was ugly. however, i did not wake up with a broken leg like i did last time i drank tequila.. yay! |

if i go to bed still feeling drunk ill wakeup with a hangover... and often ill wake up with a terrible case of cotton mouth (much like in that scene in me, myself & irene)
ive tried drinking a lot of water before i go to bed... doesnt seem to help much... i'll try having something to eat before bed also... one of my friends also said to take a multivitamin before bed and that helps too... havnt had a chance to test it tho... usually when i get em if i sit in the shower for a while and drink a bunch of water and take an ibprofin or 3 itll usually take care of em enough for me to function through the day...

Sometimes I'll go through enormous amounts of alcohol at a boys weekend or a once a year type party and i'll feel great the next day after downing a little bit of water.
Another time i'll have 4 beers and have a headache in the morning. It makes no sense!

Like a lot of people, in my youth I could party like a rock star and wake up with a spring in my step. As I get older, it seems that my "immune system" is failing me. I think it is a combination of drinking less often and my body falling apart. Ah well, it still hasn't stopped me from drinking. Is that good or bad?
