Your real name?
So, JadziaDax challenged us to do something original. I'm starting a thread about our real life names. Post as much or as little as you want. It could be initials, it could be your first name, your middle name, but I'd advise against full name, for stalker-related issues. Maybe a little bit more. Do you like your name? Wpuld you rather have a diferent one? What would that be?
My first name in real life is Ian. I'm fine with it, and don't have any reason to want to change it. |

First name is Anthony. As a kid, I really disliked it, prefering Tony. Dunno why, and as I got older, I got to where I didn't really care which was used.
Always kinda wondered how my parents came up with the name, as my older brother is named after my father, and my middle name is my maternal grandfather's. Met my father for the first time some years back, and it turns out his father's name was Anthony, so it makes sense. Anyways, it's just a name, and when you get to a certain age, you don't really care what anybody calls you, as long as they call..... |

Adam. And I never really cared one way or the other. As a young child I wanted to be called Tom (I am not sure why..) but now I actully prefer my own name.

My real name is Jacob, but since about 8th or 9th grade, I've gone by Jake.
Funny story about that... the job I had over winter break had my name down as Jacob. I worked there again over spring break, and signed in as Jake. It really confused them, they thought it was two different people. The unfunny part was they didn't send me my paycheck for about a month...

my first name is Stefanie, yes with an 'f' although even my aunts and uncles can't remember the correct spelling... i like it though, didn't like it when i was a kid, but i like it now, i especially appreciate the 'f', its a little more unique... it also prevented people from calling me step on me when i was little, i could always come back with the fact that there is no p... haha

I've actually changed my middle name to just the initial just because I really don't like it. It doesn't flow with the rest of my name. |

was weird in college because the professors would call me by the first name.. and I'd sit there... then after rollcall I'd get dropped since there was a jillion people rushing the class. AND the lady at the hall of records.. misspelled my name.. thank god because I'd hate to write Bryan all the time.. that drop down for the y is just a pain in the ass.

I go by "Bill." My first name is that of my maternal grandfather, my middle name is that of my paternal grandfather, and my last name is that of my father. I have some amazing male role models in my family. They all deserve my respect, as they have earned it long before I was born. I proudly carry their names. My name is in so many publicly available records, it would be delusional to think that posting it here could possibly make a difference.

I have a rather unique name... Gunner.
Here's the story behind it: My dad was watching Ricky Nelson's show on TV when he was a teenager. Ricky had a two year old son, named Gunnar. He brought him out on stage to show him off. My dad heard the name and he liked it. So, that's how I got the name. Fast forward about 20 years... Remember the twins with long blonde hair that were the band called Nelson? Yeah, that's who I am named after. Obviously, that was before they were famous, but people find that funny sometimes. |

i'm not about giving out my real name, but i'll drop initials on yoru ass and make a lil explaination... i sign anything and evrything with an SCA - the first name is a very close friend of the family whom i've had the pleasure of meeting a few times. the second is my father's middle name and it's not really all that practical, so it dosen't get used unless i'm really in trouble.
what... you thought my name was fred?

Cynthia Leigh a/k/a Cyn, Cindy.
Story goes when choosing my name the final three were this one, Sheila and Rhonda. It's kinda strange to know what you could have been called. My grandmother called me Cyd- because she thought that I looked like Cyd Charrisse(sp) a well-known entertainer in her day. I kinda wish *Cyd* had stuck. |
