That was a sad day, when the last "Bloom County" ran.
Long live the Boingers!!!

Hmm, hope my newspaper starts carrying Opus again. I loved Rosebud, the last Basselope. Kinda wish I had one. I always wanted to buy those reindeer antleers for a basset hound I had, but I could never find em when I wanted to buy them. Milquetoast the cockroach was also very cool!

This strip is funnier when you actually know who Dan Fogelberg is...
Dan Fogelberg: I e-mailed my local paper to see if they'll carry it, I hope they do. I like the old strips, but some of them are a bit dated, as he deals with current events frequently. This is very cool! |

Wow! I can't wait! My favorite comic is Bloom County, and I read through Billy and the Boingers Bootleg about 1000 times....great stuff.

While that'd be close to heaven, I doubt that it can or could happen. Watterson left comics for a reason, as he explained in Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book. I don't know much about Larson's situation, so I won't comment on that, but I will say that it's good to have Breathed back as a cartoonist again. I look forward to the new "Opus" strip and hopefully books.
