Boy, 12, Charged In Rape Of 46-Year-Old Woman

MARTINEZ, Calif. -- A 12-year-old boy has been charged in the rape of a 46-year-old woman last week on a hiking trail near an elementary school.

Authorities say the boy faces five felony charges in the attack. A juvenile justice expert says the boy may be the youngest in the Bay Area ever to be charged with this type of crime.

Few details were released about last Wednesday's attack. The unidentified woman says a stranger grabbed her as she walked along the Wildcat Creek trail in North Richmond.

The unidentified boy was charged with four counts of sodomy and one count of attempted oral copulation.

Minors younger than 14 cannot be charged as adults in California.

I haven't got the foggiest idea how this one happened. I don't see many 12 year olds being able to overpower an adult woman. Maybe he was somehow armed? It does NOT say there was anyone else. That was my first thought, maybe someone else did the dirty work while he participated; but no mention of accomplace. Hmm..

I really despise the juvenile justice system where kids under a certain age have their name protected even though they have committed a serious crime against someone else. My feeling is, if you hurt another person with physical harm, your name should be published to general public regardless of age.

I don't know what they are feeding kids these days, but they seem to be getting bigger and bigger at a younger age. I've seen quite a few 12 year olds that are pretty tall/big.

In America unless you have very sudden growth spurs is unlikely you be able to overpower anybody whose more than a foot to you. I agree with Sixate all the way. Not possible unless he had a weapon. Although I can't completely rule it out because I have heard of 11 year olds becoming pregnant think the youngest was maybe 10. But that's a different subject...

Funny, I was kind of the opposite. At twelve I was like 5'6" 160 pounds. Of course back then I use to spend my summers working with my dad mixing concrete and doing shit like that, now I'm a skinny bastard.

It just depends on how early a person matures and how they grow. I knew a boy in 6th grade who was well over 6 feet tall. Looked like a college student, and he was in the 6th grade. He was kind of lanky, but he was strong. And in response to the comment about 11 year olds getting pregnant, it's not entirely impossible. We talked about sexual maturity in human sexuality class last week, and some people said they have heard of kids as young as 6 and 7 getting pregnant. People mature at different rates. I know I was ahead of my time in some respects.

I lived in redneck town and I've seen 13 year olds that weighted 200 lbs and stood at least 5'11... they could have easily held down a small woman and did what they wanted to her... I say slab his ass in a federial prison and let him be held down for a few nights... I've always thought they should assrape people like that, that need to rape someone to get some action. I've been horny before but not THAT horny.
