Sometimes we see things that are so surreal that we can't get the images out of our head.

Last night, I had one of those experiences.

Imagine:

A one-legged drag queen with an eerily large head performing a Dolly Parton cover of "Stairway to Heaven". She's had too much to drink and during the performance, she's hopping around the stage (she didn't have a prosthesis). As she's hopping, her fake boobies fall out of her low-cut shirt onto the stage. As she leans over to pick one up, she loses her balance and falls off the stage. Being drunk, she hops back up and continues her drunken fit, falling over constantly as she forgets the words to the song. However, she sticks it out and finishes the number, holding her fake boobies in one hand and a cigarette in the other as she hops around furiously trying to maintain her balance.

I kept thinking I was seeing a live performance of a John Waters film.

What's the most bizarre or surreal thing you've ever witnessed?

After reading that, nothing I have ever witnessed could seem bizzarre. :crazy:

Man I would have been calling for an encore.

I will have a mental picture of that in my head all day.

Hmmm,

I've witnessed a double amputee drag queen in a wheel chair performing (a psycho slut, for those in the know), but not a drunk one hopping around.

Well that certainly is..unusual--I did think this would be about Superman's alternate world.

JumpinJesus, theres noway I can top that. Thats quite strange.

I've seen stranger, but it was intentional. Performance art. You know, naked women standing on top of utility poles and hacking apart Polish sausages with cleavers. Ranting and throwing the pieces down at the crowd. That sort of thing.

I remember one time I was sitting around in my dorm room drinking beer cause I had nothing better to do when I decided to get up and walk around campus to see what everyone else was doing. After awhile of walking, I heard music and saw something going on in one of the public buildings in the middle of campus. I figured it was a party or something and decided to check it out. Well... I went through the building toward the music and I ended up in a dark room with a whole bunch of naked people that were either taking off or putting on strange attire. (Mind you, I have about a two beer buzz going on). I just stood there wondering what was going on, when I noticed a lot of the "girls" were actually guys... very gay guys... then this "lady" approached me and asked me if I was part of the show... I said "uh... no... what's going on in here?" and she said "If you're not part of the show you need to leave." and escorted me to the door. I later found out that I had somehow slipped into the dressing room for the "Gay Pride Fashion Show"!!

I guess it's not all that weird... but the experience definately was.
