You don't have to smoke it to get high from marijuana. You can vaporize it, or cook with it. Both are better ways than smoking. If you check Erowid, and do a little bit of poking around you should come across plenty of information for both.

Go for it, man. Personally, it's something that relaxes me and gets my creative juices flowing -- I write/compose songs under the influence, and I really like the way they come out.

However, do think about the repercussions: do you have a drug test coming up? After your first smoke, it'll take about a week of heavy water consumption to flush the THC from your system.

But if you don't have a drug test coming up and you can't think of a reason not to, I'd say go for it and enjoy the experience.

As for the addiction thing, the drug itself is not addictive -- the experience is. Being high/stoned/baked/lit is something I love the feeling of, and I think that's what most people are addicted to. It's not a physical thing -- I'm a rather heavy smoker, and I've gone cold turkey for a couple weeks; the first few days were hard because it was weird being sober all the time, but afterwards I went back to my normal routine.

Most importantly, if you decide to pick it up as something to do recreationally, BE CAREFUL, and never let it get ahead of your priorities and responsibilities.

Well we can't leave things there, so here's what I think.

It's great. Have a smoke. As has been said, take it slowly - if you don't think it's doing anything, then don't finish the whole joint in desperation. Give it time, build up to the feeling. If you go too far too soon you might decide you want to stop, but the feeling will continue.
Also, do not have your first smoke when you're drunk. A recipe for disaster.

I'm 18 myself and have never tried, nor had any desire to try it.
I'm a really laid back person and I've never felt a reason to.. though I had many friends who smoked.. and it didn't do them any good.I even became distant with a few friends who started smoking and got into a different crowd.

But, then again, we were in highschool.

My advise would be, if you really have a desire to try it, go ahead. At your age I dont see the harm if its something you would regret not doing later on in life.

I want to smoke, but my two best friends say to just stick with alcohol.

However, I have two good friends who do smoke pot. My problem is, I don't know how to ask them. Plus, I'd feel bad leaving my homies out of it.

It' weird cause i'd never thought about doing it before, but I stumbled upon the "shroomin" thread and one thing lead to another and i've been reading anything and everything about Pot.

When I was 20 I tried it out of curiosity!! Wanted to know what was so great about it!! I did it twice and did not think it was all that!! I never did it again however I had to try it to feed my curiosity!! I have a I will try anyhthing once with very few exceptions but never do anything because of being pressured!! let us know how your experience goes!!

You are smoking garbage then if your only high for 1 hour.

I have many leads for Pot, Hash & Weed/Honey Oil

And this stuff will knock you on your ass, It's good cause you only need to smoke a little and your good for about 3 hours or so.

Don't try Ecstacy...It's a dirty drug...Any drug that is Man made is Destructive.

The reason why I only get high off weed for an hour is because I've been smoking that shit for years and I developed an immunity towards it.

Second, You think marijuana is always 100% "natural"? I know friends that grow and trust me, that shit they grow isint natural. They spray Lysol,windex and other chemicals in it to give it that extra "kick".

Lastly, I personally don't do ecstacy like I do with weed. It's not like I take it 5 times a day, I take it when I'm at a party or when I'm out not when I'm just chilling with friends.

I used to smoke, but quit more than a year ago. I started to get weird tense feelings. This was after smoking it for 6-7 years with no problems. I have friends that do it. Some do it very occasionally, some start freaking out when they are getting close to running out.

With people you trust is good advice. Make sure they aren't idiots, like people who make drug deals at busy gas stations. Most people I know who got in trouble for it got in trouble because they were being dumb. Find a safe place to smoke it, as in, not driving down the road where you could kill someone or get pulled over.

I think people who smoke it by themselves may be overdoing it. If you need to smoke it to go to sleep, as some people I know do, that is probably not good.

The only "withdrawl" Ive ever experienced is when Im really really bored.... Weed can make that down time fun. Other then that, I could stop at any point, no regrets, no problems. Unless your mentaly weak....You will be able to stop whenever you want as well.

Opinion: Pot = Bad.

I've never tried it, but I know afew friends who have tried it and have only used it for experimentation and/or rare/special occasions. However, for every one person who does it rarely, there's another one that does it regularly and another two who walk around my town shirtless with a joint in their mouth. That's an exaggeration, but it's not too far off. If ya do it, just be willing to accept your actions, and hopefully you won't do it often.

Hydro is the best shit...IMO anyways, And what gives Hydro that extra kick that you don't get from outdoor...I may be wrong, But the heat from the Hydroponic Lights...I am pretty sure that when the lights heat up the weed it activates something in the THC that makes it Potent...Again I may be wrong, I am not a grower...Just a smoker.
