Aairbrushing is a wonderful thing. They all look good. But, if she really is that thin, I want to see more.
I don't put much faith in anything entertainers say. Their opinons aren't any more radical than some of the comments on these boards. They just have a bigger stage. Come on people, are you really going to let the opinions of some country band influence the way you feel about current political events? Don't let me down....

Well they're certainly bold. I would say this is a typical attempt to roll with the punches. Instead of shying away they flaunt what they've got. It's a common reaction for people in entertainment, and one of the best ways to promote a certain kind of "image".

Actually not to contradict anyone but the chics albums have actually increased in sales since the "Bush is from texas thing." And they have sold more albums in the last 7 years then every band outhere except for Creed. Which in my opinion, supports the idea that our civilization is in a steady decline.

There's no such thing as bad publicity.
As for their appearance, the cover I'm sure is QUITE airbrushed. Think back to the big deal with Kate Winslet and whatever magazine cover she was on. She looked like a totally different person.

I question the knowledge of a celeb making any stance. What makes them know more than me? What makes them qualified to speak at conferences and on TV about issues? If they want to teach acting or singing or dancing or whatever, that's great. Otherwise I don't find them to be qualified to speak about other things until they prove their knowledge in them. I don't want to hear Tim Robbins speak out about helping the environment - something which I greatly support - I want to hear experts in the field and people who have experience speak about it. Second they aren't standing up for anything. All they've been doing since they realized that their dumb statements cost them album sales is try to explain themselves and take back what they said. You call that standing up? |

oh my God, how many times do we have to point out the airbrushing? LOL
Yeah, the cover looks decent and all but THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE THAT. Besides, what they look like isn't the issue here.

Why are they Saddam's Angels? Just because they said they are embarrased that Bush comes from Texas?
So let me get this straight... anyone who is critical of Bush is pro-Saddam... give me a break. That kind of thinking is just ignorant. Had they actaully stood up and said, "we love Saddam" You might have a case...

sorry, SecretMethod70, but I'm going to urge and seek out some research on the production of this.
I'm wondering if those are even their bodies or if this is a photoshopped "celebrity fake". It matters because the less "truth" involved in their expressions the less "honest" the "statement" and it follows the less "value" is conveyed by their "message". The words in quotes are so pitifully evoked by these three that even the most generous assessment of their "authenticity" is seriously lacking right out of the starting gate. Some publicity stunts are "better" than others.

I for one am tired of how the media hypes up the importance of celebrity opinions on almost everything not just war. The war is just the hot topic at the moment, last yeah it was the terrorist attack, before that it was the school shootings.
I do not hold any regard for their opinions on military tactics or government policies. I like them for their music/acting/talents. Essentially what made them a celebrity in the first place. Their uneducated voicing of opinions just makes it harder for me to pick up that next dvd or cd in which they made. The following is an email that I recieved from a friend, I do not know the origin as it was embedded deep within many forwards. Even though I may not agree with some of our nations leaders there is a reason that they are in that position and should be respected as such. This is a great read and puts those vocal celebrities in their place. "The Hollywood group is at it again. Holding anti-war rallies, screaming about the Bush Administration, running ads in major newspapers, defaming the President and his Cabinet every chance they get with names like "stupid", "morons", and "idiots". Jessica Lange went so far as to tell a crowd in Spain that she hates President Bush and is embarrassed to be an American. So, just how ignorant are these people who are running the country? Let's look at the biographies of these "stupid", "ignorant", "moronic" leaders, and then at the celebrities who are castigating them: President George W. Bush: Received a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air National Guard. Vice President Dick Cheney: Earned a B. A. in 1965 and a M. A. in 1966, both in political science. Secretary of State Colin Powell: Educated in the New York City public schools, graduating from the City College of New York (CCNY), where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in geology. His further academic achievements include a Master of Business Administration Degree from George Washington University. Secretary Powell is the recipient of numerous U. S. and foreign military awards and decorations. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld: Attended Princeton University on Scholarship (AB,1954) and served in the U. S. Navy (1954-57) as a Naval aviator. Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge: Raised in a working class family in veterans' public housing in Erie, he earned a scholarship to Harvard, graduating with honors in 1967. After his first year at The Dickinson School of Law, he was drafted into the U. S. Army, where he served as an infantry staff sergeant in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star for Valor. National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice: Earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Denver in 1974; her Master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1975; and her Ph. D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981. (Note: Rice enrolled at the University of Denver at the age of 15, graduating at 19 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (Cum Laude). So who are these celebrities? What is their education? What is their experience? Barbra Streisand: Completed high school. Career: Singing and acting Cher: Dropped out of school in 9th grade. Career: Singing and acting Martin Sheen: Flunked exam to enter University of Dayton. Career: Acting Jessica Lange: Dropped out of college mid-freshman year. Career: Acting Alec Baldwin: Dropped out of George Washington. Career: Acting Julia Roberts: Completed high school. Career: Acting Sean Penn: Completed High school. Career: Acting Susan Sarandon: Degree in Drama from Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C. Career: Acting Ed Asner: Completed High school. Career: Acting George Clooney: Dropped out of University of Kentucky. Career: Acting Michael Moore: Dropped out first year University of Michigan. Career: Movie Director Sarah Jessica Parker: Completed High School. Career: Acting Jennifer Anniston: Completed High School. Career: Acting Mike Farrell: Completed High school. Career: Acting Janeane Garofalo: Dropped out of College. Career: Stand up comedienne Larry Hagman: Attended Bard College for one year. Career: Acting While comparing the education and experience of these two groups, we should also remember that President Bush and his cabinet are briefed daily, even hourly, on the War on Terror and threats to our security. They are privy to information gathered around the world concerning the Middle East, the threats to America, the intentions of terrorists and terrorist-supporting governments. They are in constant communication with the CIA, the FBI, Interpol, NATO, The United Nations, our own military, and that of our allies around the world. We cannot simply believe that we have full knowledge of the threats because we watch CNN. We cannot believe that we are in any way as informed as our leaders."
