Peeing & territory

Does any other guy sometimes have difficulty peeing
if you think your spatial territory is violated?

Like when you REALLY have to go,
and you are at a crowded concert.
and the urinal stalls are close together.

For some reason just the presence of others, won't allow you to go.
You can't "focus" or "unfocus" or "relax".
You try staring at the wall or the handle, or closing your eyes...taking deep breaths.
It just won't go, and then you are just standing there with your wang in your hand.

So awkwardly, you have to zip up,
and then go over to wait for a toilet stall.
Just so you can close the door, and then all of a sudden...
You can go.

This is just a pain in the ass.

And as you ladies might have suspected after all these years,
we have no control over it.

Well I am glad I just read this...Cause I thought I was the only guy with this problem.

Even if there is 1 person in the bathroom at work or in a restaurant or anywhere...I can't go till they leave.

And yes...It is a major piss off.

Well, I think I used to have that.

Then I saw this scene in Vertov's "Man with a Movie Camera."
There's a scene with water rolling over some hump-type thing - near a dam or something. That's all I remember.

Anyway, for some reason that's the image that comes to mind when those moments of hesitation, as you describe, strike. Thinking of that scene causes the dam to immediately burst - so to speak...

YES, I have noticed that...Try as hard as you can to force it out, and it just wont happen. Sucks big time.

I generaly just stand there until it happens....Ive recieved some odd looks from people tho, when Im standing there, and two other ppl next to me go before I even start....

Yeah, that was one of the reasons I never really used the bathrooms in High School. Well, that and the fact that they were dirty as hell and had piss all over the floor.

And here I thought it was fun to be able to pee standing up!
Never knew it was so complicated.

Try counting forward, from 1, but only in primes. I find it sufficiently distracting enough to relax.

Yeah this is more common than most guys suspect.

The technical term is something along the lines of your sphynktas locking up. I can't remember exactly but I'm sure someone will know.

We just refer to it as 'Stage Fright'

It's definitely happened to me a few times Worst was in high school when a teacher decided he needed to have a pee at the same time as me. Still to this day don't know if he noticed

No performance anxiety here. I can almost pee on demand. In the Army when you have to participate in "Operation Golden Flow" with someone watching you, I had zero problems.

I kind of have issues peeing when others are around me. Most of my male friends seem to have no proble doing it WHEREVER WHENEVER the want. Like, off balconies and such. Hmm, to each his own. Thats why I have more female friends hehe.

Well, you will never be more vulnerable than when you've just started. I think it's a basic male instinct.

Right when you let go, you can't defend yourself for shit.

I have this problem too.

I find that if I go into the stall, I can feel less on the spot.

If I am forced to go to a urinal, it takes me a few moments and I get really self conscience about it.

I am trying to get over this though, as it is very inconvenitent.

operation golden flow... that's classy.

i don't have many problems doing my business unless there's someone else in the loo who is exceptionally noisy about doing theirs. then it's just weird, and like you've allude to, it's harder to pass when you're distracted.
