I'm no cigar smoker, that's for sure (I've tried only one or two my entire life), but I was in Montreal a couple weeks ago so I had to give the vaunted cubans a try. I got some Bolivars, and frankly neither me nor my friends could see what was so special about it, seemed really mild to me. Also got a Romeo y Julietta (since it shares my name ), but I haven't tried that on yet.

Got to agree with you. Griffins are great. I prefer the Maduros as they are a little stronger.

Also like Cohiba (Red Dot) a lot
Gurkha (un-infused) are great and by far the most consistent I have had.
Had an Oliva BOLD recently. Very very good. It surprised me...

I personally love the texture and spicy bite of the H Uppman Corsario. It's full bodied without being acidic or to earthy.

Best cigars I've ever had.

The Antano 1970 are what you need, they are very cheap for how good they are. These cigars get Editors Choice awards from very high class cigar magazines and such, yet they still only cost about $2 or $3 each.

If you are to get any, the best is by far the Gran Consul, best flavor and quality.

Anyone who says a machine produced cigar is better doesn't know what the hell they are talking about.

Oh, good God, those are the most vile and disgusting exuses for tobacco products ever!!! Not even a cigar by legal terms. They taste like ammonia.

My favorites so far:

My #1 fave would have to be the Partagas Black Label robusto. Very dark, flavorful, even smoke.

I also like the Diablo Calientes, it is quite spicy.

Also, the classic Partagas robusto.

I am a big fan of Arturo Fuente 8-5-8. Smooth good flavor and the cost is not to bad..

so ive only smoked a couple cigars... both times after my last final... definently enjoyed it...

first time i dont remember what it was...

the second time my buddy said it was a Philly blunt maybe what MacGnG posted...

i dont know for sure....

i'll have to try out some of the ones yall mention here.... anyone have any recomendations?

I haven't been smoking cigars for long, so haven't really distinguished a good taste, but I've latched on to some Ashton cigars recently. There are definately pretty mild, which is fine by me since cigars are the only thing i smoke and do so once a week at the most, but I like the taste of them. Don't know which particular type of Ashton it is, I just know where it is in the tobacco store!

I also really enjoy a regular budweiser (from a bottle) after a cigar. For some reason the taste of Bud compliments the taste left over in my mouth from the cigar. Trying to get into whisky since i've heard that really works well with cigars too.
