Good friend of mine just died
I just got a call from a friend who said that our buddy Juliette fell asleep behind the wheel while returning from Reggae on the River, an outdoor weekend-long Reggae festival in Humboldt County. I'm really shocked right now, almost too much to shed a tear. I'd say the saddest part is knowing how beautiful of a girl that the world just lost. She was only 19, maybe 20 by now. I havn't seen her since we graduated highschool but that kind of described our relationship. We weren't friends of the same crowd, we just really enjoyed eachother, most of the time spent laughing. She came from a hippy-ish family who lived in a town next to mine who's families were always looked down upon because they didn't have as much money as ours. So I'm sure she had to deal with that kind of BS as she grew up but if anything it just stregnthened her and her brothers and made her even more true. You know, many times on different forums I read about early deaths of friends and family. I'm sure that each one of them has been an amazing individual, but of my collection of people that I could be here posting about dying, this is one of those that I will truly miss and know that most every one of you would have enjoyed her caringness and goofiness.
Enlighten your day and go ahead and call some of your friends that you havn't spoken to in a while. I'd pay just about anything to talk to her one last time, even just to tell her the latest joke. :( |
Sorry to hear about your loss. Over the years I've lost many friends and family members. It's never easy, and there really isn't much that can be said to help ease the pain. All I can say is that we're here for you and wish those who knew her the best and give our condolences.

I know exactly how you are feeling right now. I too just had a very close friend pass away last week. He died from drinking too much...had cardiac arrest in his sleep after a long long night of partying. It was the first friend I have ever had die and I cannot begin to describe how horrible it is knowing I cannot hang out with him ever again. I guess these things happening are a reminder to us that we really do need to cherish every day that we spend alive and not take it for granted. I have always been told that by my family, but not until this week have I really understood what it truly meant. I still find myself calling his cell phone and listening to his voice mail, and it almost fools me into thinking it never even happened. Im sorry about your loss -Ever-, hang in there.

Just remember... its not how long you live your life.. its what you did while you were alive.... memories are the gift of anyone that has passed on. My heart goes out to ya..
|
You have my deepest sympathies.
Your memories of your friend are good and through them she will be with you for the rest of your life. |
Sorry to hear about that man :\
|
Cherished memories.
Fond farewells in heart. I wish you & her family well. |
sorry to hear that :(

A life lost at any age is difficult, but one shortened by tradgedy is very difficult to rationalize. Rejoice in the memories of your friend and be well.

Ever,
I know what you're feeling. I lost a friend at a young age and remember being angry at what he could have accomplished and didn't have time to. The solice you can find is that she lives on in your heart and memories. If you don't forget her, and try and pass her on to others (as you are here), she never really dies. Thank you for sharing and know that alot of folks on TFP are thinking about you (myself included). |
Hey man...i can relate. In late April (2 weeks before prom and a month before graduation) a friend of mine died in a car crash. My entire school just stopped. The administration were being dicks about it because he "wasnt the best student in the world" We all got so pissed at the insensitive principal....ugh, cant stand him. We found a nice way to remember him...but the pain is there whenever we start talking about old times.....

condolences :(

Sorry for your loss.
I know what it's like to lose a friend near that age. Many years ago, a lifelong friend of mine died at age 25 after heart surgery complications. You have my deepest sympathies. |
I hope you are feeling okay.. you are in my thoughts.
My heart goes out to her family and friends. *Hugs you* |
sorry man :( i'm pretty lucky, no one really close to me has died.
|
Sorry to her the news, but with all the wonderful things you wrote about, I'm am sure this great person touched others in the same way she touched your heart. That spirit that she had and which you so admired will live within you forever. I'm just sad to here this and condolences from me as well.

I know how you feel. Three girls I knew have been killed in car wrecks in the past year two were 19 and on was 16. Its just so sad to think that your life could end so fast without even having the chance to do so many things you've dreamed about. One that died was my sister-in-laws younger sister, she never even got to see our nephew (he was born 4 months after she died) I wish that she had had the chance to see him.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
You're in my prayers :( |
Very sorry to hear! I would reply with more, but I think everyone has summed up any thoughts I may have had! I hope that you are well and my thoughts will be with you and yours! Always remember her in your heart and she will never leave you!

|

I like to believe that each and every one of us comes into this life with a certain payload of deeds to accomplish, some good, some bad. You, me, your friend, everyone, has a mission.
Your friend has completed hers. She's done everything she has set out to do in the time she was given. To me, at least, such thoughts bring comfort, because nobody dies in vain, just as nobody lives in vain. Let your actions be mindful of her memory, as that is something that will linger on forver, after the sadness has long passed. |
sorry to hear the bad news...
to those that are reading this... you always take the time to say you love them... friends and family. I make sure that every phone call ends with I love you. |
I'm sorry for your loss, I know exactly where you are coming from... My friend passed away about two weeks ago.. i just got back from his memorial service.
The biggest realization that hit me was that fact that I'll never be able to talk to him again. I'll never be able to call him up or ask him to go out. You always assume that person would always be there and take it for granted.. it's hard to accept that I can't do simple things anymore. I hope you feel better. I know that I hard a hard time accepting things and dealing with it. Luckily my friends helped me pull through. I hope everyone's posts here help you pull through too. |
