i appreciate the responeses and in my mood am responding just now . but does anyone else who is a user of porn got to the point of hating porn , not for the facct that it suppposedly demeans woman but because it has such an effect on the user and wield them in. i am wavering these days, i love people and would not ever harm anyone and through looking at porn i only ever relieve myself ansd fall asleep. but nowadays i am thinking that its actully a pretty pathetic and pointless pursuit but there are no alternatives. sorry to offend anyone that is in the middle of some search or find mission of a particular actress (or actor). as i usually am.

i dont think that i really understand your saing that you love porn so much that you hate it? or that you just cant get off without it? or what?

I can only give you my perspective on this issue.

Without question, I love looking and admiring the beauty that is the naked women or a man. I can also appreciate when someone has done a good job of adding elements whether scenery or sexual toys into the fray. In the beginning it was the pure WOW factor and couldn't get enough. As I have matured I have become more discriminating as to what I enjoy. I think in my lifetime I have maybe seem 5 porno movies, and the ones I saw stunk. I never used porn as an escape mechanism or tried to find a women that was like someone in the porn pictures. I learned that there are many ways to express sexual tensions, desires and fantasies threw porn.

With all that said, let me tell you that I worship the women I am with (GALAXYGIRL), I treat her like gold or make every effort to do so and we lead a normal and sometimes very complicated life.

One grand and life changing thing happened through all of this, I began to look outside the box and educate myself in an area completely contradictory toward my personal and taught feelings of understanding, true respect, harm, commitment within relationship and more importantly needs within a relationship between consenting adults.

I completely released my previous thoughts and started at square one, and after some soul searching, I was ready and willing to embrace this change.
I was more than fortunate, but truly and grateful so, blessed with the gift to me that is "GALAXYGIRL"

We love each other completely, trust each other completely, share everything emotionally unconditionally, work toward a better future, help those less fortunate than us, we love to look at porn together. This women is a tower of wisdom, strength, patience, understanding, giving, love, a parent and a submissive.

That last word/term by its meaning/nature involves forms of restrain, and physical discipline whether for good deeds or errors.

I would of never have found the love of my life, soul and and spirit, had it not been for porn and its many varied elements.


As long as it doesn't consume you and take over your life, or make you unable to deal with the real world, I believe porn has many benefits to offer, if one looks outside the box and not just the obvious stuff.

I don't and will never say its OK, when actual exploitation takes place. The seeder side and harmful elements of porn. As with many things in life, there are good and healthy element and bad ones.

i have decided that it is time for me to stop looking at pornography, give up smoking and stay off the first drink. I am confident that my life will improve,( its not bad at all anyway, just sometimes it seems that way) though not without a lot of effort and honesty with myself.My real problem is the one with the demon drink,i can see that i have never really given myself a proper chance to experience life. I think the first thing i have to get used to is dealing with boredom, finding something to do. Anyway i am posting this to say to the world, hopefully anonymously, that i am ready to change. I do not hate porn, smoking or alcohol its just that i think i have outgrown it or something, or perhaps there is more for me out there for me if i abstain and do something other than the three things i do most regularly. Anyway i am away to give it a go.

My fascination with porn tends to come in waves. I'll go for a while looking at it and enjoying it, then I'll taper off and leave it alone for weeks or months. Then it starts over again. I guess you could say that it gets "boring". Not that seeing naked women is ever really boring, but there's only so much porn you can look at before it gets repetitive. Or before you move on to the next level, like abusive or violent stuff, which I don't enjoy.

Dude, I know what you are saying. Porn pulls you in and simply becomes an addiction. Sometimes I feel like the rat in the cage that keeps on hitting the button to get the sugar water. It does hold you against your will, but then again, you always want it.

You can certainly get addicted to it. I find the internet has helped? me specialize on the exact types of women that I like. I feel it makes "normal" women less attractive, which is the downside.

This is especially true as you get older.

The women (or woman) that will have sex with you keep getting older, but the porn babes are always in their twenties.

To me, it depends upon your definition of porn. I enjoy looking at tastefully shot photos of beautiful naked women, as in Playboy, or tasteful erotic-themed art. Contrary to popular public opinion, I don't really consider such pics to be porn.

I really dislike and avoid the raunchy waaaay out there stuff (scat, bestiality, s&m, etc.). While I admittedly do have a occasional passing curiosity, it is beyond my understanding why people would actually enjoy activities like that.

But yes, it absolutely could become addictive. People have a definite problem with porn addiction, and it is just like alcohol, food and drugs. I know people who have hundreds of GBs of porn. I even know someone (with a very cute wife and three kids) who literally has a Tb (terabyte) of hardcore porn pics and movies, and is unabashedly proud of this fact.

My question (and the question you have to ask yourself) is whether porn really "fills a void", or if it just gives people the illusion that the void has been filled, like drugs or alcohol does. I suppose that it is then up to the individual to discover for themselves whether it's a harmless hobby or an addiction.

Aren't we all addicted to porn in one way or another . . . geez I know I am . . the downside (as observed above) is that the rest of the world (the normal world around us) doesn't always stack up . . .

I think I know what you're trying to say. Porn appeals to people in the way of a fantasy, much like the whole concept of television. People who watch porn find it arousing to be living vicariously through these fantasy worlds but rarely live out a majority of them. Sometimes I get bored with it because it's usually the same fantasy replayed over and over again, and just stops being original, new, or exciting. Other times I'm turned away from it when I realize how demeaning some of it is, and then it does nothing but upset or disturb me.

On a serious note, though. My personal experience with these "turn over a new leaf" resolutions (where I have tried to change every aspect of my behaviour and personality in one go) was always failure. The more resolutions you make at once, the higher the probability you will fail at least one of them. I've found this leads to an overall sense of failure, causing me to ditch the entire effort.

Change happens slowly. If you envision yourself a different person, set yourself some realistic goals are work towards them one by one.

I'm really picky about my porn. Facials are gross, too much thrusting looks goofy, playboy looks too fake, amateurs are too flawed...

come to think of it, it's not really THAT great, but it is quite a fun filled spectacle nonetheless and that keeps me coming back for more. hee ^-^

Any psychologists out there? I've noticed a trend of people saying that they "use" porn. What is behind this? No one ever says they use music, or they use Van Gohs .... what makes a user of pornography?
