New Google site - first impressions?
What do you love?
At first, it made no sense to me, so I typed 'What is this?' Then comes up with what looks like a multiple choice portal to different classes of answers and actions. I'm still waiting for them to email me re Google+, having first heard about it in Cynthetiq's thread: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/general...-damn-you.html So it looks like there's changes afoot, and whilst I like to pose neophile, I generally like advanced warning and also to retain previous choices when possible so I may, at my own pace, evolve my workflow rather than firefight factures. Anyone got wind of further Google changes? And what do you reckon on this What do you love? ? My own initial impression is that the current Google format's left column allows for all the filters to be applied, if needed, without forcing an extra layer between the question and initial 'raw' data; and that this new format is bloating the footprint of what should be modifiers to already-visible data. Personally, I wish good luck to the new format, yet hope they will retain access to conventional listing to cater for those of us who want the option to form and develop 'purpose for seeking' during, rather than before viewing information. When I take one step back, I'll acknowledge that the new page is an improved interface for chunking from purpose to data, and I'm all for it, as long as it be a counterbalance to rather than a replacement for the present one which, to my way of seeing and thinking favours a 'data to pupose' orientation.
