TFP is unique in that you have a broad swatch of very educated individuals from diversified backgrounds giving genuine input.
Although I agree that the pace is a little slower than I'd prefer, I'd imagine educated and smart people have things to do besides post on here. Except me. Cuz i'm totally a slacker. /slack.

nice to see you rb. I was wondering about you this morning when the thoughts of the polyamory lifestyle came to my brain...
I think it depends, we have a steady stream of traffic. It's really about people deciding to jump in and participate because they are engaged on some level to discuss something. If there is nothing to discuss, there's nothing to respond to.

Did you know that at least 20.4 new posts are hobbit related? True story.

How many posts are "I want to post pictures of my cock but only in a place where guys can't see because that would make me gay"?

Today I Learned: I totally showed have posted my cock back in the day for laughs.
... I've got a much higher success rate with thoughtful responses than posting threads. My own threads are absolute failures in most cases. I try and try... but still suck. It appears many people here are the same way. Their forte is in analysis and debate. |

Then again, your wish is that it were a little more active - I don't reckon you were regretting not being able to wade through and ocean of "'kyea +1 d00d. Werd" I don't post 'enough'. I regularly come here with intent to post, start reading, and an hour later, have been magnificently entertained and educated, and have FORGOTTEN to post. In 'real' life, I'm the guy who, in a group with whom I am comfortable, I am silent - not meaning to be unsociable, in fact, feeling just the opposite. That Ass Hair thread, for example ... It had been resurrected since I had last been on. I was too tired to censor my viewing, so I read through it until my horror and fascination disappeared like things do when you don't blink. Then something cracked me up so much, I just HAD to record it as audio. But knock-on is different from posting. I Do find it difficult, sometimes, because, without feeling modest about my own qualities, I'll read down a post here, and breathe an appreciative sigh, and feel there's nothing I need to add ... most perspectives I would have given have already been given and a lot more great stuff besides. However, Zeraph, you said that your wish is that it were a little more active. I'll commit to posting a little more often. I've been thinking I should, and thanks for the motivation. All the best

Yeah, quality counts. I'm sure I post too often, but I think it's better than not posting enough. Though I do try to stay away from the £337 and such.
If I had a nickel for every time I've posted here...why, I'd have over $500!

I'm not smart enough to post here more. This beats another forum I frequent in maturity by far... but I am addicted to posting things in English, this is my brain workout, even though I have nothing brilliant to say, I'm hoping to maintain some brain activity by using foruming as excercise.
